Quote from Barn board:

Tubs time has come to an end.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been telling my husband that Tuberville has got to go. I just wish we could get Steve Spurrier. I just want to see him get riled up and jerk his visor off. I want some excitement for Auburn football. I am so tired of Tuberville playing not to lose instead of playing to win. It has been a horrible season thus far-- but all is not lost if we could just beat Alabama. Nick Saban makes me sick.

I really thought coming off the bye and playing on a somewhat national stage, this would be the night Auburn put a complete game together and played at a level somewhere close to the preseason hype. Wrong again, and I'm thrilled to see them wallowing in their discord.

My god, auburn is bad...BAD!@ I mean, probation was our excuse a few years ago. There's no reason for them to be this bad. They've shot themselves in the foot with so many poor decisions.

Just got off the phone with a friend who used to work in the Presidents office at AU, he say's he is hearing alot bad. His opinion is they will ask TT to resign. Who knows? he is mad and a big time alum and contributor,I told him I hope they would keep him around for a while.I want to get even..This made me laugh, he said " Auburn has a long tradition of winning and it is in jeopardy of begin lost. woah...LOL:eek2:

Their bowl hopes took a serious hit tonight! Their offense is truly pathetic!!!
Yes it did. The announcers were bragging on the Barns O in the first half but most of their points came off two INTs and a long kick off run back. I would hope they could make something out of that.

The barn offense is worse than I thought but I thought the D looked like a sieve in the second half.

I think they can forget that thought. Tubs is going to force them to fire him and give him his 6 mil. I can't see him resigning, particularly after his shot across the bow press conference earlier this week.

I agree. He has nothing to gain by resigning (besides getting out of the homeliest little village on plains). He tryed to renegociate the buyout last season, and they refused. Now they are going to pay. He's waited 5 years to get them back for jet-gate and he's going to end up with the last laugh.

Makes me wonder if maybe there is something working under the table, like a settlement?
At this point he doesn't even have to agree to a settlement, unless he really wants out of there that badly. He could agree to lower it some to avoid be fired, but he doesn't have to. After the way they treated him in 2003, I wouldn't. They'd pay me every penny!

what's this bit about Tubs turning the heaters off on the sidelines?

I saw reference to it on and LSU Message Board and a barn board.

Was this some kinda motivational tool? trying to inspire the team?

They talked about it during the game tonight. (holtz, reese, mays) They said that Tubbs had the heaters turned off and would not turn them back on except under his direction. I think it was supposed to be some motivational tool to get his players to playing in the second half. Didn't work. He literally iced his own kicker.

Tubbs I think is starting to crack (up stairs I mean). Coming out and addressing internet rumors in a press conference, firing his OC 3 days before a game instead of at least waiting to the bi-week, wearing Texas colored parka's, and turning off the heat to his freezing players. I can't wait to see what happens this next week. :eek2:

Forgive me for interrupting a very interesting conversation, but seeing as how this is my first post game response, all I can say is WOW! Just WOW!

Hopefully ALABAMA will humiliate/annihilate The Polytechnic Institute in a fashion that makes tonight's game seem like Disney World!

After watching WVU run all over their defense, I was dang near salivating at the thought of what our running backs/offensive line could do to them.

Ensminger calling the offensive plays for the barn in this game is a horrible mistake. It will be only his second time calling plays in about 10 years. This is hardly the right time for someone who's not been calling plays for years to get back into the game.
WV is going to be well prepared and the temperature on the field is expected to be in the mid '30s. For the folks up there in the Appalachians it's still t-shirt weather. OTOH it's gonna put a real chill on the barnies and their mental awareness. (Yes, I realize that's an oxymoron.)

WV may not have a very good team, but they are ready for this game, and the barnies are walking into it like cows to a slaughter. I don't look for the barn to hold up much past half-time.
WV 27 Barn 10

I'll bet ole :bigear: turns the heat off on the buses going home too. That and the rest of this season is going to do wonders for their recruiting.

They can't blame the loss on Franklin's spread either. I don't think the barn ran a spread formation all night, did they? Was that Nallsminger ball?
The team that just beat 'em just ran the spread down their throat and made Devine look like a star. The refs pretty much gave the barn their first 3 pts on that first drive. Talk about horrible calls. I thought Stewart and WVU made some nice adjustments at half-time and deserve some nice kudos.
As for the barn, I expect Ear$ to be on the hot-seat again after this loss. His seat was still a little warm, but you kinda got the idea that the barners were optimistic about him getting things fixed after he fired Franklin and they had the bye week. They feel Franklin was the problem all along. Its becoming more apparent he was not. I expect there will be some gnashing of teeth going on for sure.

Funny stuff from the Awbarn boards about Ear$...

All in all....I hope he can recover and we can get some upsets and become bowl eligible...there is a good chance....I see good things happening even in the loss tonight
Yeah - GAs or ALs team buses could break down on the way to the stadium forcing them to forfeit.
That really is the only chance.

They also seem to be a bit peeved that Tub$ apparently wasn't wearing an Awbarn jacket on the sideline.
