Bama DL vs. LSU OL

They have had injuries and had to shuffle players around. They are solid, but with Upshaw in the mix, we win this matchup handily.

If the who's rush for 200+ in the game, let alone either half, Bama won't win, IMO. This game is on Bama's D, because I don't think the who's can shut down Bama's O.

Hello people! I know I am completely off topic here, but please redirect me to the right thread (if one exists on this topic). But I will be coming down to T-town tomorrow and will ge spending the next four days there, not just to visit my brothers (Arie and Cyrus Kouandjio) but also to have a good time and enjoy the game on Saturday. The question is, who's actually going to the game and who will be tailgating? I would like to crash a couple of tailgating parties (if invited). You can inbox me if you want. Thanks and sorry for breaking this thread.

Looks like LSU will be healthy for the big day but if we can't slow your D line then we'll need to move to quick screens and short passes over the middle. J Lee has been effective in this arena albeit never against a D as strong as Bama.

In the 3/4 the 3 DLmen's foremost function is to occupy the five OLmen. Doesn't matter if it's run or pass and they don't have to re-establish a new LOS to be effective.

If LSU has to resort to this, that's not a good sign. Not that I don't think they can do it, but it would be out of character. I think in order to win, you have to do what you do. LSU runs the ball. I think LSU can run the ball on Bama better than anyone else has so far. I also think Bama can run the ball better against LSU better than anyone has so far. Neither team has faced another like the one they'll face Saturday. After this game, only then will all these stats matter. Comparing lines by weight is silly. One team relies more on speed, the other on power.

Hey Unc,,,,, about those drag routes over the middle.... It has worked for some teams early against us. Everybody has shied away from them later in the games because the ran out of WRs. Check the game film for yourself. Our safeties have some sort of attitude about these routes and it looks painful to the untrained eye..

Don't disagree with the late game assessment but we only need enough to open the running game which has gotten stronger as each game progressed and has gotten stronger as the season has progressed.
