I'm interested in locating fans in Big 10 country. Specifically in the Great Lakes states. I live in Michigan (I just changed jobs from Purdue to Central Michigan U.). The Kentucky game is approaching and would make a great chance to see the tide in person. Note: They still have tickets.

I live in Kenosha, WI. Been a Bama fan all my life and get down for at least one game a year. My uncle is a season ticket holder with an RV, which make things easier. I'm actually working with Northwestern this year on a volunteer basis helping out the equipment staff and odds and ends at home games. My first one will be Saturday vs. ASU. I'm a student at UW-Parkside and hope to use this opportunity as a networking tool to get in to coaching after I graduate. That's about it. Now we're not strangers. Roll Tide.

bamoore, I'll be at the NW game this weekend against ASU. I am working in Chicago, and since I am here I might as well watch some football, right? I think I'll take the train to the game and then hit downtown Chicago that night to watch the Ole Miss game.

My group went to watch SEC football there this past weekend at a place called Joe's Sports Bar... it was REALLY sweet. They reserved an entire section for Bama fans, and there was quite a bit more there than I expected.

Anyways, Just giving you a shout-out. If you want, come watch the game with us at Joe's!!! :D

Hey Bamoore37

Hi! Northwestern fan here. I don't know what you are or are not allowed to do or say (I'm certainly not asking you to give up any "secrets") but feel free to post any insights you may have on our most active board (see below).

Nice to meet you (errr...in an internet kinda way) and I hope your experiences at Northwestern are pleasurable.

Roll Tide!

GO CATS!

Selma-Bama-Fan, thanks for the invite, but I'll have to take a rain check. It should be fun, Ryan Field is no Bryant-Denny but I got the behind the scenes tour and it's like your literally on top of the field in the stands. Doesn't look as if there is a bad seat in the place. Eurocat, nothing really to report. I'd hate to jeapordize my relationship with the football program by posting anything. I'm sure you understand. That was a great game against TCU. I look for the Cats to do very well at home against ASU. I have a good friend who goes to ASU and I'm going out there next weekend for the Iowa game. I'm going to miss the Kansas game, which I'm pretty bummed about. Nice meeting you guys as well. Selma Bama Fan, any chance you'll be at the Southern Miss game. We could definetly hook up then and do some tailgating. You guys feel free to keep in touch. Roll Tide.

Many years ago I was working one summer up in Michigan and I got a chance to visit the University of Michigan. I found the football stadium that is known as the "Big House", noticed that the gate was unlocked and proceeded to walk up through the portals of the place and looked out on the field. It is truly a very impressive place. I really hope that 'Bama gets a chance to play there one day. A year later I was back at our homecoming game and walking on the Quad. A historian had been doing some digging up some old Civil War ruins of a dorm that had been burned. I asked him where the Union soldiers were from that burned the University in 1865 and he responded, "MICHIGAN". What more can you say?? Let's play a home and home with those guys!!!

Understood

I understand where you are coming from bamamoore and I'd do the same in your shoes. But for what it's worth, at least you know where our board is should you desire to check in for whatever reason.

If I can ask (and if you don't wish to answer, I completely understand, just ignore this question in that case), besides the stadium, any other "first impressions" you have about how our team looks (not looking for any secrets, just general impressions). Again, reply only if you feel comfortable doing so.

Good luck this Saturday and all year long (and in your sports career should you go that route).

Roll Tide. Go Cats.

Tidefan stuck in Iowa here. I had loose plans to make the trip to Ann Arbor this year. But they fell through. I'm about an hour south of Iowa City if any of you ever make an Iowa game. Look me up. Until then, I'll be wishing for a Iowa/Bama Outback bowl or something :)

Life Long Bama Fan stuck in WI...

I am in Superior Wi, which is in the northwestern corner of the state. I grew up in Tuscaloosa, and had season tics untill I left home for college. I coach a Junior High football team.
