Bama opens as a 7 point favorite versus the Boogs

I really thought it would be more than that. Mildly concerning that Vegas thinks this will be a closer game than Miss State was last week (Bama favored by 9) -- or than last year's game for that matter (as I recall Bama was a 10-point favorite on Auburn's home field).

Look for the line to move. Remember, Bama opened up as a 6.5 favorite against Mittipi Tate.

I think it is more to get the public betting on Bama. They've been horrible against the spread this year. People I know who bet haven't been taking Bama and they've been winning. Keep in mind 75% of the tickets sold when we played State went for the Bulldogs. The big money went for Bama. It took a garbage back door cover to bail out the public's tickets. I suspect this line will move rapidly.

It already has -- now 9 points at several Vegas locations, according to the site I watch.

I seem to remember reading last week we are 2-7 against the spread this year. Also have to take injuries into account.
