I can never drink during a game but will sometimes have something after. But yeah after a game like this I had to reach past all the other micro's in the fridge and go right for the Ten Fiddy. Sounds like you know it and had before?

I spent a little time pondering how on earth two different interpretations of the same basic play could potentially cost Alabama two huge games. I was one of the tie goes to the receiver crowd, loud and adamantly concerning the LSU game, and I won't even argue about the tie in the middle of the field.

But, you have to establish the possession, tie or not! On the ball Maze threw (it was Maze, right?), the receiver was in bounds, and defensive possession was taken after he was down. In this game, on the sideline pass, clearly the Auburn receiver doesn't establish possession in bounds. You can argue as this does, that Alabama came down with it first (in which case it might have just been out of bounds), but how on earth can you have dual possession with one guy out of bounds, and furthermore, how can both those call go both ways without someone not knowing the rulebook?

I saw posts wanting Saban to retire, Smart to move on to another team, and Kiffin to be fired. The game thread got ugly in spots.

I've seen a lot of that crap in game threads this season. And it's always the same people. I really wish they'd whine elsewhere. Reading game threads has become less and less fun with them in it.

Blake Sims/Amari Cooper is lethal combo for any team to try to defend. Hiring Kiffin to run the offense was a genius move.

Hey, I was poking fun at the PAC 12 if you didn't notice. Anyway, I wanted Bama to win, I wasn't rooting for War Eagle.

I agree. I'm sick of this duck fan running his mouth and taking sly trash talking shots at our team. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a while but to even say he's pot stirring is putting it lightly.

I'm glad I wasn't there, I might remember some of the things said and be unable to avoid being a jerk to particular posters later on (I try to treat everyone with equal indifference and vitriol). Sadly, considering how civil this board is, they don't represent the tiny minority they should. It is unfathomable to me that anyone (who cheers for Alabama) might be unhappy with Saban and it's sad that people don't get how young and inexperienced this team is. They are overachievers.

Anyway, one interesting thing to note is that Alabama did not let Auburn run all over them like last year. If they didn't give up so many huge pass plays, this is a blowout in Alabama's favor. I think a lot of what we saw in the air is correctable, and to some extent was corrected during the game. I have to give credit to Auburn though, their QB made some awesome throws and their receivers made some awesome catches. Only so much you can do about some of those.
