I was watching a little SC before work. Did I hear correctly that State isn't leaving for Tuscaloosa until 10 or after. Is this normally what they do? I know it's only 70-80 miles or so, but it sounds odd to me.

I heard they won't get there till 12:30.

I agree. I have been around a similar story on a local scale and the family has taken a similar tact. Applaud the families that react this way instead of blaming others. Can't say that I would be able to do it, but right now, I don't know if I could bury a child. Hope to god I never find out.

Remember when we believed in the Gameday jinx, or the headgear jinx? Anyway, I liked Gameday better when it wasn't about the production and the pickers didn't agree. Now they pretty much all pick the same teams. Or maybe college football has become more predictable.

At notre dame. It's amazing the difference in weather. I was in ttown for the A&M game, and it was 70's and 80s all week, in south bend it's in the 20s with 3 inches of snow on the ground.

Here in HSV, on Monte Sano, the high yesterday and the day before was 32F. That's cold enough for me...

It was a great piece about a terrible story. I had lots of respect for Lutz - he was a real football player and by all accounts a good guy. Such a tragedy...

Lutz always played with heart and even came up big in IB games. Just a shame.
