Seems a bit presumptive. A top 20 team looking for blood, a bitter rival who sees a big target on our back, and a top 5 team stand between us and that match up.
Am I the only one who thinks Texas's loss was bad for Bama?
I agree that Tech made Texas look bad. But it also showed the value of defense, and exposed McCoy as a bit of a fraud when confronted with some actual D.Am I the only one who thinks Texas's loss was bad for Bama?
It doesnt really matter what anyone else does. We have to win out to have a shot at it all. I dont buy into the theory that teams will play harder against us now that we may be #1 instead of # 2.
We can dream cant we?
I like our chances in that matchup. We still have a long road ahead, starting with LSU.
Football is not for wimps. Number 1 is exactly where want to be. This way we take control away from the media and determine our own destiny. ROLL TIDE!
I can't see anyone playing someone harder because they are ranked #1 instead of #2. Maybe a little more if #1 instead of # 16 or something.
If we do make it to BCS Title Game I would rather lose to Penn State than anyone else.
I had a very calm and relaxed time watching the Texas-T. Tech game. I really did not care who won. It is either in "the cards" for us to go all the way, or it isn't. This is exactly how I felt about the '92 team.
So, if we do win it all I will dance for joy. If we don't, then I am not going to let it drag me down (as long as we beat the goobers, that is.)

I don't think that is fair to McCoy at all. He was hitting his receivers in the first half, they just weren't catching them. I counted no less than 8 drops. Losing Quan also took out a big part of our offense. McCoy played great to get us back in the game, and if we would have just caught the ball like we have all season long Texas would still be undefeated. Texas just didn't look like the same team all game. Part of it was what Tech was doing, but a lot of it was injuries and fatigue. I'm disappointed that we lost (especially since we had the game gift wrapped and dropped the interception), but that was one of the toughest stretches of football I've seen a team go through. I'll take the 3 wins and bet money we'll be back in the title picture before the season is over.

Blame McCoy? Not me. Receivers and O-line seemed the problem to me.
