Auburn is a fine educational facility, (nevermind the fact that they barely hung on to their accredidation, nevermind certain suspensions, nevermind being the single most cheating school), and they deserve all the respect they can get. If said respect is a new pair of shoes...

I guess this means that I will have to start my boycott of New Balance. Seeing as they are using Allbarn as their "model" school, and only school this year to wear their shoes. I already did not wear Russell Athletic, now I can add New Balance to the list. I just stick with the Nike on the field clothing.

While most all of us couldn't care less if the barn played barefoot what i did find interesting was how much of an issue Nike seemed to make about players taping their ankles on the outside of their shoes and socks in an obviously blatant attempt to cover their precious insignia. . In my mind that is just another sad commentary on corporate sponsorship of collegiate athletics. Phil Knight et al should be ashamed of themselves if what was said in that article is true.

I am all for "Made in America" and that scores high for me.

However, I really don't care what shoes Barners wear. Likely, it is pink high heels most of the time. I just can't wait for November when we "decleat" them on the field.
