Basketball Board plea to the Football Fans as we start SEC Play Saturday vs Kentucky

Hey Football Board. Quick hoops update. Bama is 10-3. Only losses to Gonzaga, Purdue and Arizona. Big wins are St John’s, Illinois, and Clemson.

We are ranked 12-15 in most polls or metrics. We start SEC play Saturday at home vs a struggling but improving Kentucky and a return of Mo D.

Please participate but keep in mind this isn’t football. We can and will lose multiple games between now and tournament time.

We don’t have complaint threads. So, you must follow regular game thread rules. We will have an itchy trigger finger for player or coach bashing. Make your point if needed without repeating the same point over and over.

For example, if UK kills us on the boards, repeating “we are getting killed on the boards” (and similar) every third post is excessive.

Referee bashing (done tastefully) is always welcome especially Don Daley.

Am I allowed to watch? The one game I sat down to watch was the Arizona game. I sat down with a few minutes left in the half, everything was fine. Came back and Bama completely imploded with a turnover fest. Naturally, I blamed myself since I decided to watch that particular game.

I've stayed away since then, but we haven't really played anyone since that debacle.

Agree with CC - Bama has a GREAT team this year and they are fun to watch.

But to his point - our upcoming CONFERENCE play always ratchets up the viewing pleasure.

As football winds down why not transition your sports affection over to round ball?

We are struggling a bit with 4 non-conference losses already. I don't see Florida getting back into contention this year for another title but hopefully will make some noise in the dance. Thanks for asking!
