Game Thread: Baylor vs Oklahoma

Bet Baylor doesn't score 70 this game. Funny how when one of these teams that score an absurd amount of points play a defense with a pulse they generally look pretty average. Seastrunk for Baylor is legit though...

I hate the targeting call as much as anybody, but I think that one was pretty cut and dry. Gotta go lower there.

How's he supposed to go lower in that time frame? If he had gone lower all he'd have accomplished is a helmet to helmet hit.

That is not targeting. The receiver is the one who went low by bending over, if he hadn't done that it would have been a normal hit. The receiver did more targeting then the DB.

Every receiver is defenseless when they catch the ball, this rule is ridiculous and needs to be eliminated. That was a football play that resulted in knocking the ball loose. Any other year then this year, we would praise that hit. This is the dumbest rule ever.

Like I said, I'm against the targeting ejection rule, but that one was a lot less "bang bang" than most of them have been. The DB saw that play developing which is why he was in position to make the tackle. He had a lot more time to go low than players do on most tackles IMO.

The receiver lowered his body just before the hit, if he hadn't done that then it would have just been a good tackle. It's the receivers fault IMO.

In years past that wouldn't have even drawn a flag. We use to call that a tackle. What a joke.
