Be real: Ever cried during/after a Bama game?

Shed a tear or two of pure joy when Alabama scored late against LSU last year. Jack Daniels and I had been watching the game with some friends, I had completely given up on it when AJ and Co saved our bacon.

I think after the 1992 championship I might have had some tears of joy. That was one wild night.

I'm not ashamed to admit I have a few times. I guess on one hand it means I really care about this team...on the other maybe it means I care too much.

1989 loss to AU
1994 loss to FLA in SECCG
2008 loss to FLA in SECCG
2013 loss to AU

I haven't definitively or consciously realized it until I just typed that but all 4 times were losses that ended a National Title chance really late when you were close enough to taste it...I guess that's why they hurt so badly. Good or bad I'm still not over this loss to AU. I still can't believe how we lost...not just the last play or the missed FG's but to have what seemed like 3-4 chances in their territory at the end to close the deal and shoot ourselves in the foot everytime is just a bitter pill. I HATE AU...I really do... and it sickens me that they ended this run..even if temporarily. We were going for history man and lost to those idjits....sigh.

Yes, I cried after the Mississippi State game in 1980 when they ended a much longer winning streak and another three-peat opportunity by beating us 6-3. That's the only time. I certainly felt like it last Saturday, but I'm married to an AU grad/fan, and I would never let her see me cry after a loss to that bunch. I simply left the room and went to the kitchen to get some supper while she screamed and cheered for the goobs.

Never cried after a loss. I did shed some tears after the 09 BCSCG. My first daughter, who was almost a year old, took her first steps that day and said daddy, we found out we were expecting our second child that day, and we won the championship game. The championship capped a great day, and as I reflect on the day I was overcome with emotion. Blame it on the game, or the events that happened, but I did shed some tears that night after the win.

I get a little misty when I watch an old youtube video of Coach Bryant . Perhaps , some of our younger posters will do the same when watching videos of Coach Saban ! rtr... :)
I'm likely to do the same. Last Saturday, after the absurd runback, all I could do was let out a huge belly laugh. My wife, who'd taken OT for granted had left the room, came back and asked me what was funny. I just said that I'd just seen the most ridiculous ending to a game I'd ever seen in my life. It's not that it doesn't hurt - it's just I don't react in standard fashion, I guess...

I cried last weekend with the loss to Auburn.
I can handle losing ... sometimes :( ... but to lose like that was painful!!
To add to the pain ... we were taking my two kids to the SEC Championship game for the first time and Pasadena if we made it there! My son was crying so hard not only because we lost, but he was so excited to be going to the SEC Game!!! Just broke my heart!!!

No I have never cried after a game but have been very upset. This game against the boogs is not your everyday lost. We were going for history and the team that knock us out of it was the barn. Upset, mad, depress but came out of it a few hours later.

I haven't ever cried. I have woken up bummed though. It is just a game. I was in Alabama for the Iron bowl this year and boy did that one hurt. It's probably the worst one I can remember. The loss to South Carolina in '10 was pretty bad also.

I teared up as a 13 year old when we lost to Notre Dame in the 1973 Sugar Bowl. I cried like a baby the next year in the Orange Bowl when in the last moment of the game Richard Todd threw an interception as we were driving to win the game against the Irish.

Saban's reign has almost made me forget those sad moments...:)
