Why do some of you use Brodie and Legacy in the same sentence? I feel for the guy with the crap he has in front of him, but I have never seen a player look so whipped in my life. He is sulking all over the field. When we hit Cox early in the second he threw the ball away and saved a sack. Brodie isn't even looking down the field, he is looking at the D-Linemen. He is going to get hit anyway so why not try to make a play? I just don't see what he has done to be put on such a pedestal. Barker won almost every game he started and nobody put him on this pedestal ya'll have reserved for the Golden Boy. :frown:
IMHO!

I think all of us appreciate Brodie and his contributions to the team. He played great games against UF and USC, especially. It is sad his senior season had to end on a sour note and no wins against Auburn during his time with us....

I hate seeing thisgs like this. Alabama is not a one man team. What do you want him to do? He cant block the blitz, He cant catch balls throw into someones hands, he cant play center, he cant call an imaginative game plan. All he can do is what he can do. I for one am proud of him. I will never forget his contribution to our team. Look it we are very thin. Every single person on this board that wants to bellie ache should be damn proud of this season. We are ahead of schedule because of a group of determined senoirs and the leadership they have provided. Our future is so bright it is silly. I know this loss hurts. It hurts like the first time I remember losing to these jokers. However it is short-sighted to blame one player esp Brodie. This is the same man that shredded Florida. We are thin..Alabama wins as a unit and loses as a unit. If you want a legacy then look to this teams acomplishments. They have accelerated our progress as far as recruiting. I am as grumpy anyone about losing to barn but we have to look at things as they are.

I guess not living in Alabama for most of my adult life makes me appreciate PLAYERS like Brodie and the rest of the team. It also makes me wonder just what kind of fair weather fans the Tide really has - it really does. It also shames me for someone to come on a board like this and do that. I really thought the mods would have yanked this one.

Oh well just MY 2 cents worth!

The man was sacked 11 times today. Sorry, this one is on the o-line.

His legacy to me will be that he should have gone somewhere where he could have had a line that would block.

He was a great leader at a time when Bama needed leadership more than anything else...

I agree he was a great leader but he did not show any leardership in the last 3 halfs. Everytime the offense came off one of there horrible 3 and outs he went strait to the sideline and hung his head. When he was out on the field he just kind of draged himself around and didnt try to get anyone pumped.

I know it was a prevent defense but I really thought it was funny how when JPW got in the game he took his steps and fired that damn ball like he was thinking "I'm not about to get my face smashed in here take the ball". He threw that bomb down the sidelines sorta funny. Weird arm action.

I don't blame him. He's been sacked about 30 times in the last three games. What else could he have done?

Don't discount his off the field leadership. He held this team together through our sanctions. Even if he were only an average QB, that would have been enough for me.

I totally agree. Brodie has stood with this team during the good and bad times. Believe me he has experienced plenty of the ugly during his time at the Capstone. He could have played football at many different schools, but he chose Alabama, knowing that there were dark days ahead. I admire him for his leadership and his part in bringing Crimson Tide Football back to National Prominence. I don't understand anyone slamming him.

I respect his contributions to the team.

I think he should've been benched in favor of JPW in the 2nd half.

Brodie's performance (two steps back, crouch, drop to the ground) speaks for itself. He's a great guy from a great family, but that has nothing to do with his performance at QB.

11 sacks in one game--is that a record?

I sort of thought that JPW should have come in, but then you would be saying that it was all BC's fault. BC still has to QB the Bowl game and maybe he needs people to believe in him to keep his confidence. Then again there may "Family Politics" involved!

I think BC should of played almost the whole game but I think it might of helped to put JPW in for a few series every now and then to let BC catch his breathe and see the game from the sidelines.

I saw maybe two times Brodie could have thrown the ball away...maybe.
the rest of the time he was doing good to get the ball from center before a defender was pounding him. IMO if they had put JPW in earlier it would have just added to the laundry bill to have Jordan Hare dirt removed from his uniform.
It`s kind of hard to look down field when almost as soon as you get the snap your picking out animal shapes in the clouds.
