Mark May On Sportscenter just picked Demeco Ryans to WIN the Butkus Award !! Hope He is right!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

He also picked us to lose this weekend. At least, Demeco is getting much deserved respect. Herbstreit picked Hawk (I think that's his name) from Ohio State. Damn Homer. Just kidding I like Herbie.

I think Demeco has a great shot to get the award, since he is the best player on one of the two or three best defenses in the country.

He deserves it, hands down. His "on the field" actions are awesome (still think that was a fumble last week at MSU and he should a TD on his stats), but his "off the field" doings (visiting elementary schools, his grades, etc...) are by far the epitomy of the University of Alabama. He is a great player and even better person. A class act for sure. Let's hope he wins this award.
