There is no doubt Bama will continue to get the lions share of the "best of the best" in Alabama. Sometimes "stuff" happens and kids that would really like to be at Bama (Spencer) end up going to the barn and sometimes kids have strong family ties there. Me thinks that Dismukes would really rather be at Bama but may let himself be influenced by a good friend that is disillusioned by Bama.
I would love to have Dismukes at Bama but I am very confident that the spot he can occupy will be filled by a great prospect.
If someone is really torn between the 2 teams.....the decision is a no-brainer.
I've heard numerous times that Dismukes comes from a Barn family and is a Barn fan. He lists himself as a Barn fan on his Facebook also. I'm confident CNS will find a BETTER prospect.. shoot he proabably already knows who that is.

Mutual friends between RD's family and mine tell me he will announce for the barn. They tell me he was torn but that his Auburn family connections were the firewall that kept him from coming to Tuscaloosa. I'm disappointed but not surprised. We will be fine with or without him.

what's really odd with this Dismukes scenario was that he was ready to commit to Bama a couple a months back..and now this.:cool2:

I will never lose sleep over one recruit!!

Did you guys read the BOL article (posted today) where Gabe Wright said that 'others' were telling him that Saban wouldn't be in T-Town much longer? He said he spoke w/ Saban about it and the coach put him at ease about it...

BUT, I'm sure the barn is giving recruits an ear-full of this. Some may be smart and straightforward enough to simply ask Saban themselves like Wright did. I know this is part of recruiting, but it sounds like something an 8th grader would do.

the "others" you were referring to are the silly barners. they have been using negative tactics in recruiting for years since the Dye era.
how else would they be able to compete with us??? the funny thing is in spite of all these negative BS, they can't even touch us with CNS at the helm..

A thread on ITAT (I know, I know) said that Dismukes and Regions were in T-town last week watching practice. The Barners said Regions was there to keep watch over Dismukes.

The fact that he is holding a press conference tells me he is going to Auburn. That just reeks of them trying to drum up publicity for anything they can.

Oh well, look around our class, I'm not complaining. If Dismukes wants to go be a Barner and play with Region, that'll be his problem.

i'll be surprised if he does not commit to the Barn.
Well, if/when he does, let's just wish him the best and move on. :BigA:

We are really past the point of nit picking each and every possible commit these days and hopefully can just allow ourselves to enjoy what we have as it is incredible! :BigA:

Rodney Orr, last night on his Tider Insider TV show, said that he fully expects RD to sign with Auburn. He too noted that the family connections were just too much to overcome.
