Cam Newton vs Greg McElroy

Has McElroy made his plans known? Is he headed to graduate school? Bama Irishman, I agree, Scam's role model doesn't seem to be a good one. He's also never had to learn about the actions/consequences link. That's why I say.....trouble. He's one big walkin' load o' trouble.

Greg has already finished his baccalaureate and is nearly done with his master's degree.

Thank You for starting this thread. I have thought for the past few months the same sentiments expressed here. It is my raising. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The cheater is the biggest loser. I still feel that way. Give me GMAC and keep the Hei$man and BC$ trophy.

Greg has said he's interested in law school, but not right away. Certainly, he's one of those individuals who has tons of brains & talent. Will he be an NFL QB? Nah. He might wind up on a team as a third stringer for a few seasons, but I bet he'll bank away some money, go to law school, then basically write his own ticket for whatever avenue into the business world he wants to travel.

CN has been a national embarrassment to auburn and to anyone with an IQ above room temperature and living outside of area code #334.

Watch it buddy. ;) Let's just say "outside of the cow town in west Georgia".

I agree completely though. I wouldn't even consider trading GM for CN even if it meant another NC and Heisman.

I tried to read Cam's quote a few times above, but all I kept seeing was $$$$$$$ $$$$ $$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$ $$$$$$$. I $$$$$$$ $$$$$$ $$$$$$$ $$$ $$$$$ $$$$$ $$ $$$$$$$$. I $$$$$$ $$ $$$$$$$$ $$$$$$ ........... $$$$$$$$$.

One man is likely to steal your computer, the other is likely to own the NFL franchise or Fortune 500 Company who buys computers.
You don't have to a a candidate for 'Rhodes Scholar' to know which is which. :)

A few weeks ago Greg did an interview on Colin Cowherd and to say he was impressive would be a massive understatement. They were immediately deluged with e-mails praising Greg, even Cowherd was blown away, not only by the response. but also by Greg's poise and insight. A lot of the e-mailers and callers after the interview were pimping Greg as having a bright future in the media, one guy even told Cowherd that he had just interviewed his own replacement. :D

Greg will be a huge success regardless of what he chooses to do and he'll always represent The University of Alabama in a fashion that will make us proud. :BigA::BigA::BigA:

Cam Newton's legacy to AU is "One and Done"! GMac is and will always be considered to be one of class and ambassadorship toward THE U of A! To me it's just no comparison....indeed, it is and always will be at AU....what can you do for me now not for the students or student athletes of their university as GMac did for Bama. I think this post is truly indicative of the truth about what they want down on the plains...immediate success at any cost and damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead...so to speak! Roll Tide Roll!

After the ESPN stint, would not be surprised if he winds up doing broadcasting.

Tidefan '89, I apologize to those I offended living within area code #334 who are good tide fans, (or any others with the common sense) to see the foolishness of the aubren coverup explanation. I phrased my comments poorly and did not mean to include all in #334 of being "all in".

It's true that Greg and Cam's legacy has been sealed for the time that they spent at Alabama and at Auburn and there is a distinct difference but one thing that shouldn't be overlooked is the future impacts that both will make.

Cam - his past indicates (but doesn't guarantee) that he will have issues in the future and every ESPN and network report will give credit to Auburn for his birthplace into the college football world. They will go over the controversy that surrounded him this year.

Greg - will likely be a reporter or media talking head. By his own words and actions Alabama will be put into the spotlight and he will contradict many of the stereotypes that the rest of the nation pins on us.

Both will go into the world and both will have a platform and mouthpiece. Which one would you want talking about your University? It's not even close.

I would never put GMac and $*** Ne***on in the same sentence. I mean GMac is the best of the best showing that bama is one great school to come too. Cam however, shows that Awburn is a horrible, filthy, corrupt, and so on (I could go on for hours) a school like that is.
GMAC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $Cam any day of the week, year, century, era.

Both may start out as NFL qbs, but neither will be there long, and both end up in entirely different positions and situations. Greg will become a valuable member of the home office of, if not the Cowboys, then another prominent NFL team. Cam will end up as an inmate in a penal institution.

Nah, he'll make a great televangelist. For 200k Cam will show you how to receive Jesus. Also he will teach you how to skim by on judgement day by saying that your daddy did the sin for you, and you knew nothing about it. Just make your check out to the Cecil Newton Foundation, and remember Cam knows nothing about it.

"Cam know nothing about it" I don't think he would want to go to Mississippi State and then all of the sudden decided to go to Auburn. He had to know something about it or else he would have gone to Mississippi State and not Auburn.
