The writer should be ashamed of himself. Cameron Newton is the Poster Child for the boy next door, a symbol of all that is good in American sports. Not only did Cameron overcome being framed ten times for traffic violations (and police brutality), he also had to overcome being “set up” on two occasions for felonies by jealous peers and was almost booted out of UF because of another student signing Camerons name to his paper.
Then to add insult to injury his daddy shopped him without his knowledge and tricked him into saying and doing things which would make him look like an egotistic glory hound -- all just to make him famous for the NFL draft.
If not for being surrounded by a loving, caring and supporting family at Auburn, who encouraged him to act with honesty and integrity, there is no telling what would have happened to him.
