I would pay to see that!!If Saban signs a top-10 class with only 15 signatures, a lot of other coaches in this league are going to cough up a spleen (namely ears and phatlock.)

I see Sidell Corley and others getting Joe here. USC is a distance and McKnight will settle in the SEC. If he does go to USC I would be shocked. LSU was his first choice until Coach Saban came along and USC saw the attention he was getting and started asking. Also with Everson Griffen and Mac Tyler both 5 star RB's already committed to USC and two others I'm not sold on USC.Corley is a possibility, so is Gibson. BUT, it seems like we're losing ground on McKnight.
How is it in Huntsville. I will be on a visit to the Rocket Center in August for an assessment study. It has been two years since I had a chance to see Huntsville. I am looking forward to it. :BigA:4 years from now... when the Tide is ranked in the top 10 after a great season... your words will carry the weight of true prophecy! And the vid link wasn't bad for my moral either during these chilly months.
Roll Tide!
(I still think we'd be very lucky to end with a top 10 "ranked" harvest of recruits this year. It's almost too much to ask!)
On 690AM yesterday they said that McKnight had dropped Bama from his list and that his final 3 were LSU, USC, and OM. But then today I get an e-mail from Bamamag.com that McKnight is visiting this weekend. Am I missing something?
I am banking on common sense, opportunity, and the current recruits to make this happen. Also I think Coach Saban knows where Joe is going. :BigA:Irishman, I hope you are right. On National Signing Day if you get all of these correct I will raise a glass of Jamison to the South South East and say Roll Tide!
Right now it's pretty dang cold! We're ready to take a trip to the keys (just wishing). Other than that, Huntsville is my favorite place to raise a family in the world. How is it in Huntsville.
I swear, if you're right, when you come up here lunch is on me! Maybe you can explain those dark arts over some barbeque & sweet tea...I use an analytical system and current happenings to make my predictions. I see Corley, and Jones getting Joe to BAMA.
I will have to keep these guys straight. The kid from Arkansas is Broderick Green going to USC. He is a four star. Great day. I have to many recruits on the ole brain. Thanks for the help.Well Griffen who is committed to USC isn't a RB (he's a DE) but you're right about Tyler, not to mention all those RBs they brought in last year. If he's wanting a lot of immediate playing time I don't think USC is the place to go. I definitely think he'd play right away there, but he'd be splitting time heavily with all those other guys in the backfield. If he's wanting all the playing time he can get, honestly the best fit would be Ole Sis, but I just can't see a prospect of his stature winding up there, not right now at least. That leaves Bama and LSU IMO. Conventional wisdom would say that in that situation he'd likely stay at home and go to LSU but something just doesn't seem right with this whole situation to me and I can't quite put my finger on it. Everything we're hearing now would lead us to believe that Bama is out of the running and while I certainly believe that could very well be the case, something just doesn't add up right for me to completely agree with that. If he was going to wind up at LSU, why make the homefolks sweat like this, why not go ahead and make it official? I don't know, maybe I just don't want to convince myself that he's not going to wind up in Crimson! :rolleye2:
Take this for what it's worth but on our local shreveport sports talk radio the other evening a guy called in and said that Joe McKnight had made up his mind and it ain't Alabama. This guy is a regular caller and though he is an LSU fan he's right more than he's wrong on his "inside sources."I see Sidell Corley and others getting Joe here. USC is a distance and McKnight will settle in the SEC. If he does go to USC I would be shocked. I have faith that Coach Saban already knows the answer. The answer was given to him during the visit. Now I just have to wait and see if I am right. :BigA:
Does Sidell know Joe? Anyway, you're correct that USC is loaded, not only at RB, but at all positions, including DE, which is what Everson Griffen plays. As far as LSU being his first choice, maybe right now, but USC has always been his first choice until recently. I think the potential troubles at USC are the reason JM isn't going there. I know this sounds crazy, but I think Ole Miss actually has a decent chance at Joe. If you think about DMac at Arkansas, he is basically a one man show, and it sure worked for him this year. Joe could have a similar situation at Ole Miss. I just don't know why he would want to go to a place that will likely not see a bowl game in his tenure, much less a BCS game or championship of any kind. JM did not go to Bama as erroneously stated earlier today. Finebaum reported that according to his source, JM is at home in NOLA. I'm shocked that he didn't visit Bama as much as ya'll are, but for some reason, he didn't.I see Sidell Corley and others getting Joe here. USC is a distance and McKnight will settle in the SEC. Hey, I'm sure Griffen is probably a good enough athlete to play RB if he wanted to, the guy is like 6-4 260+ and runs a sub 4.5 forty (reportedly).I will have to keep these guys straight.
