The Tebow worship is off the charts tonight. You would think he's the second coming or something. "The greatest player to ever play for The University of Florida." What a flippin' insult to all the other great players who've gone through that program.
I like Tim Tebow. I think he's beyond being a fine young man. He's certainly proven he's a fantastic football player with a lot of natural talent and a seemingly bottomless well of passion for the game, and for his faith.
That's all wonderful. But do we really need to go through the "beatification" of his college career before it's even over? The way sports media have covered him, especially over the past two seasons, has just been the definition of hyperbole. Thank God it's almost over.
