I can't believe y'all are dissing TEBOW. Do you know how hard it is to play football while you are manifesting the wounds of Christ?
 
Am I evil for finding enormous joy in watching the jump-pass fall incomplete after Verne and Gary had made such a huge deal about Tebow begging for the play? I really respect Tim Tebow for the player and person he is, but the media has made me despise his name.

I like Tim Tebow. I think he's beyond being a fine young man. He's certainly proven he's a fantastic football player with a lot of natural talent and a seemingly bottomless well of passion for the game, and for his faith.

That's all wonderful. But do we really need to go through the "beatification" of his college career before it's even over? The way sports media have covered him, especially over the past two seasons, has just been the definition of hyperbole. Thank God it's almost over.

SD, I agree with everything you said. I have a lot of respect for Tebow and the example he sets, but enough already. I'm just tired of hearing it.
 
tonight was amazing..... i had a nice fire roaring in the fireplace... and... well..... i saw HIS face in the flames. yes, the face of st timmy himself. then i turned on discovery channel and saw that the third Fatima secret is the identity of the reincarnation of christ. it turned out to be Tim Tebow. kinda spooky if you ask me.
 
It is what it is and I don't harp on it, but every time FSU had the ball all we were shown, between plays, was T-Bow on the sidelines. Every freaking time! I got so sick of it I just quit watching the game, which wasn't much of a game to begin with. UGH.
 
CBS has made it their mission to make Sure st. timmy win the Heisman again. the treatment he gets, really is insulting to everyone else. the rest of the SEC will actually get coverage next year.
 
Tebow overload! As I am reading this thread I look down at the TV window on my computer screen, which is tuned to FOXNEWS, and I see Tebow highlights, with the caption "Tebow Says Goodbye." The dude is everywhere!

Don't worry about Verne and the rest of the talking heads. The Trojans and Notre Lame will be back in the top 5 at the start of the 2010 season. There will be plenty of targets for their man love.
 
:BigA:How do the other team members stand it when all the glory goes to Tebow? You would think as long as Tebow is in the game their is no chance of losing and the rest of the team has done nothing! Oh yea Tebow has won 2 NC and the rest of the team has just been cheerleading!
 
I'm just glad Verne was finally, after about 20 minutes, able to get his Bible verses straight ... and STILL able to find a way to make them fit Tebow and what was going on in the game at THAT VERY MOMENT!!

It was nothing short of divine.
