I have an alias 2 ... tonite it got where i could only hear through speaker phone ... i got no sound unless i put it on speaker ... have taken the battery out to try to reset it .... any ideas? thanks

my wifes alias 2 had the same problem. The hard reset (Battery out) fixed it

next get rid of that phone. Droid X comes out tomorrow and we are #3 on the list so her alias should be done tomorrow

If you don't like the large size of the Droid X, you might want to check out the HTC Incredible. It's noticeably smaller, lighter, and faster than the Moto Droid. It's due to get an OTA update in the next couple weeks that will enable 720p video recording, 802.11n wireless, and the ability to use the phone as a wifi hotspot.

It's also due to get froyo before long. I highly recommend it.
