Game Thread: CFP Bowl Games | Fri Dec 27 | 4 SEC Games today (ESPN starting at noon CT)

A&M chokes, then chokes again, then chokes some more. They gave up 33 yards on a 3rd and 13 play for SC. Then some CB named Ricks gets burned down to the two yard line. Then SC gets a delay of game penalty back to the 7. Then SC throws a TD pass for the win with 8 seconds left in the game. SC goes 75 yards in 1:40. One thing I noticed the entire second half, is A&M never changed up their pass rush. They kept rushing the exact same way every play. All they did was give the SC QB a nice cozy pocket. This was a monumental choke and gag by A&M.

Sometimes it appears that players just don't take the game prep seriously for these games.

Coach Elko.......dude.......you only had 1 job. Eat clock before scoring. I mean.....it's football 101, no?

I asked this the other day: why do so many college football coaches in particular have trouble managing a Clock?

I know we had an NFL blunder not long ago, but in college, the coach has to be in charge of his kids, and we have seen too many coaches go full Les Miles in recent years. Miles only got away with it as long as he did because his team won that early championship.

And for those who have forgotten, he largely got fired for mismanaging a clock against Auburn in 2016.
