it was never about the 12 best teams but acquiescing to the other conferences so they could get in on the money… college football demise has been in slow motion until this year…2024 will expedite its death.

The demise is burning on both ends. The players with NIL/portal and the administrations with this crap/ poor decisions against the betterment of the game

It was refreshing to watch, very little showboating and taunting, I had almost forgot football could be played this way.

I would say that James Franklin finally won a big game, but this game really did not qualify as a big game. It was just another game against a directional school.

There is NO WAY the B1G and SEC will allow this same format to continue never mind ESPN who live on the ratings for advertising money. This is an embarrassing moment for the new CFP and a gigantic money loser. These games will be some of the worst ratings ever when the viewership data comes in. The late games will help but these others are stinking garbage.
