Game Thread: CFP Qtr: #10 Miami vs #2 Ohio State (12/31 ESPN @ 630p CT)

#10 for Miami put on a clinic tonight in toughness. His blocking in the run game was courageous to say the very least. I love R Williams but he should be shown film of that guy’s play tonight. They’re about the same size and this kid was a high school QB. On a different note, Carson Beck laid it on the line on a few key runs in that game. I gained a lot of respect for him tonight. RTR

The big takeaway from the Cotton Bowl was that both teams ran the ball really well. It seemed both of them were getting 5 yard chunks almost every time there was a running play. In comparison to our running game where the RB may or may not even make it back to the LOS. I still believe our OL is, and will continue to be, our downfall until somehow it is miraculously fixed.

I was amazed at the difference from the first half to the second half at how OSU adjusted and began to run at will. They were at-3 yards at the half. RTR

Well, it certainly has made Alabama a study in “ How far can a one dimensional offense take a team in the era of today’s “ college” football? “. As far as I know, the prevailing wisdom is still that sooner or later it’ll be a team’s downfall.
