Defenseless player is the dumbest part of the rule. What are defenders suppose to do, stand around and let them catch the ball and make eye contact before tackling? It’s a stupid rule.

Plus, doesn’t the ball being tipped at the line change things.

tackle in the midsection, not hit them high. That particular hit to the head was very avoidable. officials blew that call...badly. Really feels like "we don't want to decide the game with this call", when you helped decide the game with a no call. I know Texas missed, but it prevented AZ state from a potential game winning FG.
