CFP seedings 1st edition 2025

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

92, I think I'm coming to hate UGA fans as much as you do. I've got a HS friend who is a bama fan and lives in the Atlanta, GA area. He tells me all the type of crap he has to hear and put up with year around. I'm starting to think they make the LSU fanbase look mild.

I'm hoping Haynes King and Ga Tech run through UGA like "crap" through a tin horn. LOL!
They are beyond awful. They haven't said as much on my Facebook this year as they have in recent years, but humility is still not one of their strengths for sure. Every time I see the big G I just want to stomp it. They are like an aggravating mosquito buzzing your ear and you just want to swat it.

welcome to the club. let the hate flow through you 🤣

meh..the committee continues to show that they care about just the wins...IU should be ahead of OSU because at least they have beaten a team of note in the top 10. ND being in the top 10 is laughable...that "close" loss to Miami now looks a lot worse..and they play no one down the stretch....i was a big fan of expanding the playoffs but if this group of useful idiots cant do better then I hope we go back to BCS type metrics. This first go around is more nonsense like last year

If they finish 10-2 they are going to be in the playoff.

“If” they win out, it will be a possibility that none of their wins will be ranked and then you lose to a Miami team that’s falling apart and A&M who will be in the field. They continue to get the benefit of the doubt even with a weak schedule.

This one is a bit easier to read.

Me seeing Memphis, Virginia, BYU and TTU in that Bracket:

Listening to the Chair of the committee say that OSU/IU ranking in the top 5 for offense/defense made me laugh...if you play weak B10 teams every week its easy to rank top 5 in those metrics..who you play matters...or should but apparently it still does not to the committee of fools

The thing that gets me the most is when the spokesman comes out and says something about.....we felt A&M's defense wasn't as good or we felt they were the better team.......

There is no reason for "feelings" when we have the amount of data we have. And I hate I'm even going to bat for A&M, but they've got a better strength of record than Ohio State....a stronger strength of schedule....they have a stronger remaining strength of schedule.

A&M won at Notre Dame. They also controlled the games vs MSU and Florida better than most have. They beat LSU to a pulp. They've still got at Missouri and at Texas.

Ohio State beat Texas at home....won at Washington....won at Illinois. There best win will be Texas....their schedule is garbage.
Same with Indiana. Outside of Oregon, there's not much trouble on their schedule. I think they have discombobulated State Penn this week. Plus, it looks like Indiana likes to keep scoring no matter how much they are up in a game.

I don't like how a team like Memphis gets in. There should be some caveat that whoever that Memphis-type champion is should at least have to be ranked to get in. Memphis is not even ranked, but yet they get to sneak into the top 12. That's a joke.

Written in the rules is taking that top group of 6 team.....that is an absolute joke and basically charity.

At this point, Notre Dame should be forced to join the ACC as a full member.

Their schedule is an absolute joke. It would be one thing if their 4 possible open games* provided some difficulty. In fairness, Texas A&M did this year, but that was not a known going into the season.

*They are required 5 ACC opponents, and always play USC, Stanford, and Navy.

I have a confession. I think we drop one more game at least. Idk if it will be in the SECCG or before then but my gut says we drop a game and likely fall outside the top 4.

That said, we have a very good shot at hosting a playoff game which would be fun and quickly jump to the top of my list of things to spend money on.

No more proof needed that the top 30-40 FBS schools need to start their own league.

The 5 spot could be the sweet spot when all is said and done. Get a home game against someone like Memphis, then your quarterfinal is against the 4 seed which likely ends up being someone overrated.

If we remain in the top 4, we won’t host a playoff game because we have a bye for the first round. If we drop another game and go to selection with 2 losses, we likely wouldn’t host the game but would instead have to play at someone else’s house. IMO
