Changing Tides (ESPN.com)

Outstanding! We absolutely could NOT be any better represented. Bama needs this type of positive press in the worst way, to help in the recovery of our reputation. I've said it a hundred times, & I'll repeat it now......there's more to being a head coach, than just winning games. WTG CMS!

Whether we win this weekend or not, I still think CMS has us headed in the right direction. He has done a fabulous job of recruiting and he has given this program the stability we desperately needed. I think if we have a good year this year, that momentum will continue to grow over the next couple of years. There have been alot of fans and people on this board and other boards who have doubted Mike Shula's ability to lead this team. Although I still think we have a ways to go, there is no doubt we have a class individual and a good football coach leading our program. Given time, Mike Shula will prove to be an outstanding head coach, and guess what, he's only 40!

They are just setting theirselves up to jump on the bandwagon. After we win saturday they all be in love with Shula. most of them had Shula on the hot seat coming into 05. After Sat urday they'll be talking about how Shula took a once mighty down and out program and turned it around. After beating Urban Meyer he might just replace Meyer as the new media darling of college football.

This is a fantastic line!

Maisel speaking of Shula's ego as Alabama's head coach...

"It's the peripheral stuff he needs to work on. He's supposed to be the imperial coach. If Shula were any more unimpressed with himself, he would be an Auburn fan. "

How funny is that?!

Roll Tide!

Great Article....

And for us fans, we can also grow up quite a bit when we support this
coaching staff(win or lose). Regardless of the outcome Saturday, we
still will have a great staff and the program is heading in the right direction, even when we have a few setbacks along the way.
Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really good article. I emailed him and told him last evening that he if Alabama beat UF that he would have to say something good about the Tide. He is from Mobile.

Great article, one of the best from a memorable week. Coach Shula said it best...

"It's early yet," Shula said. "We'll find out a little bit more about ourselves."
