Can you blame them for being skeptical? Our policies in the Middle East generated a lot of the turmoil there.

That's true to an extent, but there has been turmoil there for thousands of years. We've only been on the scene for a couple of hunnert.

Funny, I could not find where this was reported by Think Progress or moveon.org.

I can also confirm that some pretty sophisticated military hardware was recently sent to Egypt. It always comforting to know that people up and down the bureaucratic chain can see the blunder taking shape, but no one can stop it. Yay smart government!

Not sure why you think I have a "disdain for Christianity." I just have a disdain for close-minded group think. Certain Christians do fall into that, but so do plenty of other religious folks as well as plenty of atheists. I've stayed out of this thread's debate because, frankly, it bores me.
