Played football all my life and still do not understand how it is legal for a O lineman to dive at a defenders knee--even when facing the numbers!! Alabama's D-Line and backers were continually "slowed" from reaching the ball-carrier by this "Big Ten" employed method. With all the knee injuries in the game, I think it's time to re-assess the legality of the technique.
AFTER ALL: Tripping is ILLEGAL and is not chopping the knees tripping???

The Big Least refs looked foolish all day!

I'm one upset Alabama fan!!

""Those chop blocks weren't the reason we lost the game. Today's performance was shameful.""

I agree that we played as poorly as a Division II school, the chop blocks and holding by UM''s line all day long didn't help. With the way we played, we should have lost to anybody, even West Carolina. I''m frustrated with the blown calls by the officials, but cannot say we deserved to win with our poor decisions (especially SP)!!

ROLL TIDE in '05!!
