I think many in the GOP agree with Lewis but they're too in love with power to admit what happened in this election. Reagan would be disgusted by the GOP of 2016

Feeling like Trump is illegitimate because your side lost is not the same as him being actually illegitimate. Dems are behaving just like birthers...I would think they'd have more self-respect.

I'll also add that plenty of Dems from the past would be disgusted with today's Dem party as well. The Reagan reference is rather meaningless.

There we disagree as Islam is a threat but to compare a splintered religion with hundreds of factions and no real centralized control to an organized and antagonistic superpower is absurd

its like comparing eating fried foods to bare handed mountain climbing

There is real, tangible evidence of Russian involvement in our election, hell even the Great Pumpkin himself admits that the Russians were involved to equate the two is asinine

Russian hacking during the election does not make the results inaccurate. I know you want there to be a few hundred thousand Russian votes in the election because you'd rather someone else had won. Nevertheless, it is what it is. He's your president whether you like it or not. He now represents the elites like you, which is what is most amusing of all.

He has certainly done a good job of leveraging his actions from 50 years ago. Those actions are all that I've seen the Lewis apologists reference in response to Trump. Nevertheless, you're probably right, the status of black communities across the country today, especially in the inner cities, probably has a lot to do with Lewis' actions since he joined the D.C. country club.
