Can't Get Enough

Thought this song would be a good one to bring this thread out of dormancy. :)

In honor of Mick Ralphs 1944-2025. He is also credited with writing this.

Just a little personal anecdote about the song Can't Get Enough.

This was one of the first guitar breaks I ever learned. My buddy, who was much more accomplished than me, taught me the harmony part to his lead part.

Some time later - maybe 10th or 11th grade - I recruited some guys for a school talent show. My buddy was not available to play guitar with me, so I had enlisted another guitar playing friend of ours. The night before the show, we take the stage for the requisite rehearsal in front of the school staff. Can't Get Enough was one of the two songs we were to play.

However ......... the other guitar player had been taught to play the same harmony guitar part I had been taught by our mutual guitar buddy.

Neither of us were good enough players to learn the other part on the spot, so we ended up just bailing on the talent show. :D

During the lockdown in Covid 2020, my now-a-freshman-in-college daughter and I would drive around the Atlanta perimeter once a week or so to just get out of the house for a couple hours and crank up the Classic Rock while marveling at the lack of any cars on the interstate. It allowed us to create some normalcy and routine in what was an otherwise untenable condition.
