Classless fans

I agree that some ruthless people cross the line and embarrass their University. It always has happened, but fortunately, the percentage is very low.

There is absolutely no excuse for harrassing visitors at our University. It accomplishes nothing to spew offensive language anywhere, anytime. We are not cave dwellers of the Stone Age.

Crimson Tide Football is for everyone who wishes to attend and enjoy the game. Included among these are families with young children. Prospective student athletes are visiting to appraise our University and I want them to leave with a great experience. These are the intangibles that can be the deciding factor in choosing us or just walking away.

Go to the game, yell from the bottom of your lungs, and leave with pride. There may be one of our own or from the visiting fanbase that makes a fool of himself, but I don't approve and will not reduce myself to that level.

This is the University of Alabama. Every visitor should leave with a great experience. Class. It is all about Class.

Talk about beating a dead horse this thread has been beat to death, and for the most part we are all in agreement. Alabama has very few big mouth embarrassing fans, but we do have them, we don't like to see people treat visiting fans badly it embarrasses us but it happens, all schools and all teams have some bad fans be thankful we have as few as we have. The bottom line is we the people on this thread can only control what we and possibly our friends do at games, so just treat the visiting fans kindly and take your time to speak to them, invite them to have a bite to eat or drink, and shake their hand when the game is over win or lose, we can only do our part to make them feel welcome, we have no control over the ones who act bad and hopefully visiting fans who run into the drunk loudmouth types at games will come away remembering how nice you were to them and not what some idiot said. You are never going to rid anything based on competition with a winner and a loser of the big mouths so just do your thing and it will all work out.
