I was just looking at Clemson's schedule and it appears to me after opening with Alabama there isn't a team on their schedule that will be as good as we expect Alabama will be. The only potential bumps in the road I see for Clemson is when they have to play at Wake, at Boston College and at FSU. I think Bama might be the best team they play all year. What do you guys think? Here is their schedule:
DATE OPPONENT TV TIME (ET)
8/30 No. 24 Alabama 8:00 PM
9/06 Citadel 3:30 PM
9/13 North Carolina State 12:00 PM
9/20 South Carolina State TBA
9/27 Maryland TBA
10/09 @ No. 23 Wake Forest 7:30 PM
10/18 Georgia Tech TBA
11/01 @ Boston College TBA
11/08 @ Florida State TBA
11/15 Duke TBA
11/22 @ Virginia TBA
11/29 South Carolina TBA

if bama exposes clempson to be only a mediocre team ,and thats very possible, their schedule will suddenly look alot tougher.

The only weakness I see in Clemson is their OL and their LB/CB.

I don't know anything about their LB/CB's so it may not be a weak point at all, but seeing as how I don't know anything about them, it probably means it's not one of their strong points. I do know they consistently turn out great D-linemen.

The biggest mismatch is their OL vs. our DL.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they have 4 new starters on OL? What was once thought to be one of our weakest points is quickly turning into what seems to be one of our strongest (If Alfred McCullough is practicing at OG, then we are DEEP on the DL!)

If we can consistently put pressure on Harper (and I think we can) we may have a much better shot at winning than I originally thought.

One would think Clemson could sleep walk through that schedule. Boston College no longer has Tom O'Brien at the helm and were hit pretty hard with graduation so that meat grinder might be easier this season. Ga. Tech has to show me something before I will consider them a tough opponent and they have no real tough month or even tough games strung together. Watch out for South Carolina to smack them around as it seems like Spurrier likes beating them at their house better than at his.

Whatever the outcome of the game versus Alabama. I'll be pulling for them the rest of the year. It will only make us look better. We are due to win a game like this. I would love to have a win against an 11-1 Clemson team on the resume.
