Really pretty simple. IF a coach is willing to listen to other offers, the answer is “I’m currently being paid to coach a team at present. When the season is over and we’ve played our last game, then maybe we can talk. If you can wait, fine. If not that is fine too”.

Hey I know early signing is Wednesday and programs are trying to hold the class together. And other current players are weighing transfer/portal options. But getting the right coach for your program goes beyond a single recruiting class or transfers in and out.

Let agents dance the dance behind the scenes. But no formal offers can be submitted until a coach has completed their season with a current team or relieved of their current duties by their university.
