Not that it means much, since it's already been posted on this thread about possible coaching positions, but wanted to let everyone know about one coach I met Wednesday evening.

I was at an end of the year dinner at the Crichton Optimist Club here in Mobile and one of the guest speakers for the evening was Coach Lance Thompson. Afterwards, we spoke just briefly and he said that at this time, he was the Recruiting Coordinator and Linebackers coach, ( as it's been pointed out on this thread several times ). Great man to talk ball with, and is really excited to start working our boys over. Now, only if they're ready....

I don't think that there has been much speculation on a replacement yet. I'm sure Coach Saban will find a good one. Personally, I would like to see at least one former Bama player on the staff, but Major Applewhite grew up a Bama Fan, so he can probably add a sense of tradition for the players in the games against the Viles and the Barn.
