I've read since my post that the tee has an eagle, rather than a gun, on it. My first thought was that he'd screwed up, because someone would recognize that tee. After reading about the winds, I've changed my mind completely. That was probably the one and only time that tee was worn, IOW, another red herring thrown in. The winds and the entire operation probably take it out of the class of the ordinary expert sportsman. It begins to smell more and more of a trained sniper, probably from a military background. Like a pro sniper, once he saw what his one shot did, he had no reason to hang around to see if a second were needed. He dropped the gun, put his gloves in his pocket and bugged out. I can guarantee you that the FBI is examining this angle right now...

i think it’s more likely a right wing nut who felt Charlie didn’t go far enough or a gun nut looking for fame. I read and heard lately that Charlie has been embroiled in a heated battle with some neo Nazi groups. My point is I don’t think motive is going to be what most expect… that is a trans lgbtq leftist insert a title activist. I would guess by the look, the shot, and the fact that he didn’t dwell at the scene that this person has some sorta military or comparable training.

You honestly believe the killer isn’t mentally disturbed? That is, assuming this wasn’t a professional hit.

I think anyone who commits murder is morally depraved but not necessarily disturbed or insane. I think this person knew what they were doing. If they had walked up to ask a question and pulled out a handgun and started shooting (with no chance of escape) that person would be truly crazy.

I don’t see the distinction, personally.

The people who are dancing on Kirk's grave right now will immediately start screaming something about "decency" when the Reps exploit this for votes just before the mid-terms. These people are nothing if not predictable (and disgusting.)

Sorry, just making sure that by "dancing on Kirk's grave right now" you are not referring to the President of the United States...

I disagreed with most of what Kirk said and believed, but nothing he ever said or did warranted the death penalty. His murder is a tragedy—for his family, for those who admired him, and for the nation as a whole. Political violence is abhorrent when it happens once. The idea that it could become a way of life in America is unthinkable.

We already see how school shootings barely last 24 hours in the news cycle. God help us if we also grow numb to the silencing of free speech through assassination. I’ve often posted about the despicable acts and decisions of Trump and his sycophants, and I stand by that. But I’m equally disheartened by the “it’s sad, but…” (as well as much, much worse) reactions spreading across social media. Kirk was a flawed human being—as are we all—but nothing about his flaws made him in any sense deserving of this fate. We should all mourn the loss of a human life—and fear the darkness of what it means for our country if murder becomes politics by other means.

This is the heart of the problem. Nuts on one side wake up the nuts on the other and they begin this escalation that traps everyone else in the middle.

The challenge for the MAGA side is that, while others keep their more extreme voices at the fringe, MAGA has elevated them into the president of the United States:

Trump blames the 'radical left' for Charlie Kirk's killing

Over half the country voted for Trump.

Trans people, who should have gotten help with the mental health a long time ago, are becoming militant

I now read the tee was a DAV group tee. Dead giveaway or another red herring, like the ammo?

The thing is usually someone who is wanting to make a statement usually doesn’t do so much to hide his/her identity. I think much of what he is wearing and using is an effort to lead authorities on a goose chase. Personally I’m believing the idea that Kirk hacked off some far right group and they sent some tag along to take him out.

I think while some here act like the shot isn’t that much of a difficult one. I would agree if it was a torso shot but seeing where the round hit makes me think the shooter is either the luckiest shooter in the world or someone with some experience at firing at humans
