Yeah, I thought so too. I also find it interesting that those who want to lynch the officer tend to suspect nefarious motives from FPD for releasing it, while those who are taking a wait and see attitude tend to suspect nefarious motives from DOJ for not wanting it released. The level of distrust is striking. This country seems to be so much more divided than it used to be.
I agree....I think we are more "splintered" at this point. The reason I say that is......it's not "left" and "right" anymore. There are now multiple camps forming....
1. The far left -- whites --- want to stay in power by catering to whatever special interest group yells the loudest -- which group that is, changes daily, weekly, etc
2. The far left minorities -- want to have a place at the table, take whatever power is given to them by the far left whites -- vote in a huge block because they've been promised rewards if they do so
3. The Independents -- those that are afraid to take a position, are usually socially moderate/liberal and are fiscally conservative - want low taxes, and are worried about being tagged as a racist/Uncle Tom/Gay Basher, etc....
4. The Libertarians -- believe that everyone on the planet is capable of making their own decisions but ignore that most Americans have been conditioned to not be able to do that -- and need the far left whites to tell them how.
5. The Rinos -- see "The far left -- whites" -- same definition - except they flip on Abortion, Global Warming, and Military Exercises
6. The Christian Right -- those that believe that all the answers can be found in one book, and won't listen to much else.....they try hard to maintain the status quo -- with hope that they can put this sinking ship back on course.....
And, if you try hard enough -- there are slots in between each of those six, where most of us fit.....the sad thing is -- is that we were never meant to trust Government -- that's why all those cool little safeguards were put into place. Government's job was to prove to us that it is trustworthy. Now it doesn't care what we think --
