Re: Courtney Upshaw

The high ankle sprain killed his season. It seems every time Bama plays a cupcake team someone gets hurt. I don't know if it's because we're so much bigger that they resort to hitting us low or what.

We needed him to stay. As far as I know he's the only proven jack linebacker on the roster. Without a decent player at the jack position you might as well go 4-3. Him staying is good news for next years D. Not that I really thought he was going pro anyway. The potential is there just not the results, yet.

Glad to hear it. Whereas I favor players going pro as soon as they can reasonably expect to command serious money, I think Upshaw needs another year. The injury derailed this season for him so far as really impressing the pros is concerned.

I think it'll definitely help him. I also think it would benefit Hightower, but I hear that he's so skittish he's going anyway. Barron's injury almost dictates that he stays. I think Julio probably stays for the craziest reason of all - lack of selfishness...

You believe Julio will stay? Cause I've felt that way all along.
