Sickening

IMO Sly really didn't learn alot from Coach Bryant, or Coach Perkins for that matter. To spout off like that really shows that you have no class. He seems to have learned, and taken to heart, lessons from those classless coaches in the nfl. You would expect something like this from a Jimmy Johnson coached player but not from one of "Coach Bryant's boys".

Alabama should take his name off of the award because he truly doesn't show a commitment to excellence any more.

Did you see how many times this man, a professional coach at a "high level" SEC school, used the word "Butt" in a public speech? Does this seem very unprofessional to anyone but me? Can you imagine what we would think if CMS said some of those things? I wanted to like Sly, but the more I see of his handling of this MSU job, well, the more I have problems with him....

Come on now. Your getting your dander up over the use of the word butt? I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Eight and forty-eight year olds use that word on a regular basis. Find something else to determine someone's level of competence and class than a limited vocabulary.

I said 4 (unless he really sticks his foot in his mouth about something) but hope he is there for longer than that. Every year we beat MSU the more I like Bama's coaching choice!

No. It is unacceptable for a person in a professional position to speak like that in a formal setting. Of course, we all use lots of words informally that we'd never use in public speaking, and that's the point exactly.

Just one more reason he's not coaching at Alabama. He was not the right man for the job.

As someone mentioned in another thread last week, we need to get Freddie Kitchens off that staff over there. He has way too much CLASS for that bunch of bitter, Bama-bashing coaches, and needs to get out of there before they all get fired one of these days.
That was me, and I could not agree with you any more strongly. Big Thick laid it all on the field for Bama. I saw him take hit after hit after hit, and get right back up and never complain. His former boss at North Texas said that of all the people on his staff, Freddie was one of the people he thought would make a fine head coach one day.

But only if he gets away from that open, festering wound that has become the MSU head coach.

I used to think the world of Sylvester Croom. I'm as sickened by what I'm hearing and seeing as any Bama fan can be. If it weren't so funny, it'd be sad.

I truly hope that Croom isn't trying to play the race card in regard to JJ playing QB. There is a certain QB that graduated just a couple years ago whose name is all over the career passing mark at Alabama. His name is Andrew Zow, and he is black last time I checked.

Out Of The Mouth's Of Babes........

Such maturity, now that is what you cannot teach!

JJ has seen the light and knows a Team must realize all have their positions on the Team and not one is bigger or smaller than the other....

A lesser man would have verbally sparred with MSU's Head Coach...

It's plain to see that our players are focused on the LSU game and the LSU game only!!!

RTR beat LSU!!

Jimmy is a very good player. He dominated the State Championship game last year. I'm glad he chose UA. Brookhaven will be in Picayune MS to take on the Maroon Tide in the first round playoffs.

Let it go, Sly...

...try to salvage what class and rep you have left before it's all gone.

I really thought he was wrong for the 'Bama job, but he's proving on a weekly basis that he may not be right for ANY HC job.

I'm proud to say I supported CMS from the beginning. I respected croom because he was a great player and seemed to be a classy guy. I almost wonder if Coach Moore knew something we didn't. I won't give him all the credit for getting CMS, but I'll have to hand it to him, he got the right guy. Plus I don't think CMS would have coached anywhere else in the SEC. Our victory if you ask me.

How Clinton beat Brookhaven this year is beyond me. Good luck against the Panthers.

So am I to read that as him basically admitting he doesn't follow what's going on in college football? It would be one thing if he just said 'no comment', but he just admitted to putting his head in the sand.
