A lot of people have a misconception that you can look at 2 people side by side and compare their relative weights by sight. Not true.
Different body types carry their weight very differently. Looks vs actual scale weight also depend on the amount of muscle mass relative to the amount of body fat, as well as genetic body build.
I personally have mystified people my entire life who thought I weighed LESS than I actually did due to my build. Those people who have been basing their impression of Brodie's weight on looks alone, without seeing him get on a scale, have always been off base, IMO.
I was very glad to see this current weight come from Pro Day where it was unquestionably done by objective examiners. Maybe it will finally put some of these questions to rest (but it probably won't).
As to the question of his fragility based on his size-Would any of you consider Tyler Watts "fragile"? Well he had a lot of injuries his last couple of years. So did Jay Barker, also not particularly fragile looking. As I recall Brodie took a lot of hits his freshman year, filling in for Tyler, and didn't get injured.
In fact, he took a number of hits AFTER getting his shoulder injured in 2003, and still kept playing. To me that is NOT the sign of a fragile player. A "fragile" player wouldn't have kept getting up and coming back for more.
