Current (unofficial) projected 3-deep depth chart

Wow. So a redshirt freshman that has not played a down of college foorball is going to take the starting QB job. Sorry but don't see that but if you are right we may win 3 national championships in a row.

Think about it, he is already significantly ahead of everyone else in the QB room (regardless of classification) in knowing the offense being brought in. So the time everyone else is going to spend with what he went through last season he is going to spend on learning the offense in a more advanced manner. Granted, this isn't a guarantee to start but it sure does give him a significant head start in the race.

Sheer familiarity with the offense, the coaches and what they want to do set him way ahead of the field. They may catch up to a certain extent in the Spring and Fall but NCAA only allows so much practice time.

I see there are a lot of Mack fans. If Mack is named the starter Mack will be the only QB in the room. I hope he can stay injury free but again I don't agree with any of you saying he will be the starter. How can any of you say this without seeing him play one single college play?

Because he knows this staffs system, it's that plain and simple.

One of the guys already here may rise up and win the job, but Mack has a huge upper hand. He's the only one not new to Deboer and his staff.

And it has nothing to do with being Mack fans. It's simple logic.

I have no idea who will win the job, but if it is Mack and everyone else bails, so be it. Let them leave. What happened last year cannot happen again.

I mean, I have never seen the kid play not even film. But what did DeBoer do when he went to UW? He took Penix with him because dude knew the offense. Brought him in for immediate success and it worked. Same deal here.

I am a fan of Alabama. Everyone on this team is starting with a clean slate. Not only is Coach Saban not coming back, but we didn’t even hire a Saban disciple.

Nothing will surprise me. Any of the four guys could be starter. Milroe has a bit of a leg up, but nothing in the same universe as he would have had if Saban had returned.
