Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Seems strange in a way that you would want to play against your brother...I mean after football is over with it would seem great to be able to tell children and grandchildren that two brothers played together at the same college, competing for a national championship at that. Kindof splits the family apart when they play each other and even when you wanted to watch both of them play. I would want my children to play at the same college.

Again, if MB or any of the Kouandjio family is reading this, I really do wish you guys the best no matter where Cyrus goes. When I was watching the interview, I was really impressed with the professionalism of the family. I think we all got caught up in the moment of possibly losing a guy to the Barn to realize that this is a 18 year old dude who is making a major life choice. My sister, bro in law, and nieces were recently faced with a decision like this, and had to move across the country for their good. It was tough, but it was for the best. You are looking at Parents and a sister having to watch their son/older brother move away for 4 years, and I can totally understand them wanting him to be near his brother Arie.

To all the barners claiming we are somehow forcing their hand, GET REAL. This is a family who wants the best for their son, and they feel that your (Aubies) lying, unethical ways are not for him.

In other news, it appears that Jeff Lee is now claiming Michael Vick will be retiring from the NFL and committing to Auburn on the 7th. Lee also said that Ndamukong has a 55% chance of signing with Auburn in the next few days.

I was thinking the same thing. The legacy the Kouandjio family would have at Bama could be something like the Neighbors family has there now.:BigA::):BigA:

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

If I had two sons at different places how hard would it be to watch them both play? As a parent of four boys I'd want it to be their decision, but Dad/Mom cannot be two places. Parents need to give their children imput on major decisions and as a 17 year old this is really true.

As a fan I was so upset at his choice I turned off the TV, I'm selfish, I wanted him here with his Bro. As I heard him speak I really wanted him at Bama even more, seemed like a great kid. As I went away I thought maybe he will change his mind...

Are you kiddig?

The Kouandjio family is not reading this board tonight.

Ya, I'm sure they are reading this board around the dinner table and trying to iron it all out quickly:)

Even so....he has to be sold on T-Town and Bama and the "Process" and Coach Saban etc. or he's not going to play to his ability because he won't be HAPPY.

You can't do a great job if you don't like where you're working.

I agree that it hurts to lose a prospect like him because he's a future first rounder.

But he has a right to make himself happy.

All that being said....I still think, ultimately, we may get him.

But I just hope he's 100% Bama. Otherwise, he'll perform to about 50% of his capability.

Not being argumentative here at all. I just like kids who are totally Crimson and White.

sip
Everything above is your opinion. For all we know he would be much happier at Bama than he would at AU.

I'm hearing good news from so called experts again on other sites regarding Cyrus and Bama. As in, lock it up...
Oh no, not again. I went to bed last night feeling confident about Cyrus. I won't make that mistake two nights in a row.

Man, what a day! It wasn't supposed to happen this way but it did. Thanks for the support people... most tide fans have just been class act! for those who have been following my posts, this just shows how big of a burden this has been on Cyrus and the fam... when i said he was taking this very seriously i really meant it and when i said we still didn't know where he was gonna play next year about 3 days ago, i really meant that too, but people thought i was just being tight lipped. Oh well! now we just gonna sleep on it and hopefully GOD will give him the wisdom he needs to make that major decision, because at the end of the day it's still Cyrus' decision...

Dude, we have a very, very close family member who has been posting here religiously. I know what Im talking about here, brother. By the way, that guy that just posted, Magnanga_boy, yeah, thats his family.

As far as who it is, someone who is supposed to be about as rock solid and accurate as "Insiders" go, if you believe it.

I have no idea, Im definitely no 'insider' here, and I have 0 sources other than message board chatter. MB has been 110% honest with all of us, so take his word over all others.

Magnanga, praying for you and your family, man. With prayer, all of this will work itself out. Here's hoping the best for your family.

Good luck and God bless. Big decision, he needs to do what is best for him. Bama fans want to see him with his brother, but he needs to go where God and his heart are leading him.
