Ditto X 100thank you for your service.
I'm sorry, I had to step away from the computer for a while. I did read it on RBR in the comments section, however it was posted by one of the more reliable posters. That is why I was asking if anyone on here had heard it, I didn't know how legit it was.
Thank you for your thank you. I would not trade my 20 years of active military service for anything. I loved it. I now miss it. I have been retired from active duty for nearly 19 years. It seems like yesterday that I left. I miss most of all the people. The relationships that I developed with men and women alike, and their families, from all over this country and overseas also. An experience that cannot be replaced. The only thing that I wish that I could have had back in the 1970s-90s would have been the Internet, so that I could have more easily followed the Tide.thank you for your service.
So what's the point in recruiting? I though great recruiting was convincing the best talent to come your your school.I only want players that LOVE Alabama and and wholeheartedly want to be here.
Even so....he has to be sold on T-Town and Bama and the "Process" and Coach Saban etc. or he's not going to play to his ability because he won't be HAPPY.I disagree. The kid only visited AU one time. They probably put on a grand show at AU that weekend because of all the recruits that came in for visits. He has no idea what it's like down there all the time. We shouldn't be conceding him to AU at all right now. Also, to say we're not losing anything is a grand understatement. He's the #1 LT prospect in the country, and they don't grow on trees.
In trying to get players to love your school. If after recruiting, Cyrus prefers Auburn to Alabama, it would be silly to want him to come here against his will, all the while he wished he were elsewhere. I think that was d-man's point. So what's the point in recruiting? I though great recruiting was convincing the best talent to come your your school.
Was Cheese there to talk about Jesus/God on this recruiting trip? So he talked about God and sent them to see Ms. Nunn?Everyone remember this, SPORTSbyBROOKS » NCAA-Tainted “Girl” Cast In AU Recruiting Gasp? ??
I think this speaks volumes about Albawrn's recruiting practices and their so-called "family". As each passing day goes by, I begin to detest the cow college more and more.
sip i always enjoy your posts, but I have got to disagree with you on this one. $cam wanted to go to MSU and said he had really rather be at Florida, but he seem to do ok at the barn. Hey he did so ok he won a NC.Even so....he has to be sold on T-Town and Bama and the "Process" and Coach Saban etc. or he's not going to play to his ability because he won't be HAPPY.
You can't do a great job if you don't like where you're working.
I agree that it hurts to lose a prospect like him because he's a future first rounder.
But he has a right to make himself happy.
All that being said....I still think, ultimately, we may get him.
But I just hope he's 100% Bama. Otherwise, he'll perform to about 50% of his capability.
Not being argumentative here at all. I just like kids who are totally Crimson and White.
sip
THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can someone please ban deliveryman from the recuiting board? How many times will we have to tell him before he stops posting that garbage in every thread. Newsflash, dude, no one cares whether or not you think Bama needs a player. Stop saying "we." His family is reading this thread. Your opinion is not representative of Coach Saban or Bama, and it is nothing short of bizarre how you keep coming into these threads to repeat this over and over again.
"We" do want Cyrus. "We" NEED players exactly like him to go where we want to go. COME TO BAMA, BIG GUY!
As much as I would like to agree with you, I watched the video and I came away with the parents being shocked that Cyrus had not told them his true feelings about Auburn and the friends he had made at the UA game. It could work out the other way, that the parents want to make sure this is a good decision for him before they jump on board. Put down for a minute your love of the Crimson Tide and think about being a parent. Sometimes you have to let your kids go with and be accountable for their decisions because ultimately it is their life and your part was to instill in them the tools necessary for making those decisions. If the parents sit down with him and get the feeling Cyrus has made his decision based on good factors, they may support it. Hopefully, they talk some sense into the kid but that is the Bama fan in me speaking...Last night I posted that I did not like the feeling I had on this one because all of the momentum was with AU, not that I am an insider or a prognosticator; however now I am getting a good feeling because taking time lets me know that his family is not happy with his decision. Why is that important? Who do you think will be in his ear for the next couple of days? I think the momentum has flipped to us. The mere fact that before it felt like we were on our heels and now it feels like AU is on their heels makes me feel better.
How about you settle down and stop trying to do the mods' job?Can someone please ban deliveryman from the recuiting board?
