Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

C'mon, it's a reasonable discussion. Post like this don't contribute anything. You're asking for her to flame you.
I just really get tired of the whole "Nick is a saint" crap.

why most Auburn fans hate you so much? The arrogance and "we could never do anything wrong" attitude.

when Nick gets wrote up in at least one publication a week for some "off handed" recruiting is laughable.

None of that sounds reasonable to me although my post was a tease ... joke ... humor. And I don't care if she flames me or not ... but as long as she is on this board, making accusations about my team, one of us has to change or go and I don't care who it is frankly. If I wanted that stuff, I would be on BOL. You will not find anywhere in my posts where I have addressed someone else in that manner. It is not my normal reaction to a "reasonable" post.

Thank you Red Star, but I can handle it! LOL

1 & 2) I choose to be "neither". I can tell the truth so I guess I am not a "barner", and I do know the difference so I am not a "boog". I am just Kim, lives in Florida, grew up in Alexander City and have always been an Auburn fan.

3) My mother actually had two "normal" children. Me and my brother! LOL. Mom and Dad were huge Bama fans. My Dad passed away several years ago, but Mom is still going strong at 84. Any time Bama is in the pic for a NC, I WILL pull for them because of her. How could I deny a smile on her face.

4) Kind of figured you did not care, just wanted to point it out.

5) Really do not even know how to respond to that one, but it is all good.

To add something of substance here: Reports are saying that the announcement will be made at 11am. This is from GulfCoastTiders blog and a Mobile radio station.

Rumor is that there is another press conference set up for 1100 for CK's final decision. FYI

Well why would he need another presser if he is going to the school he first said?

Does this help our chances?

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

OMG! Thank you. (and I actually mean that). You, along with several of my own Bama friends, are the peeps I could "hang with". We just like to "have fun" with each other. See, I do get it. I will even go as far as to say that I would not be "surprised" if something went down with Cam. I am not stupid, nor gullible. The reason we get upset is for the exact reason you brought up - BOTH of us have had enough "slaps upside the head" that we really do not need to be taking it out on one another. (BTW, I have seen several things lately about Nick's "dirty recruiting"). You call us dirty, other boards call you dirty. Kind of goes with the territory???
Sorry , it is not the same. I read other boards also and it is a common theme on SEC forums concerning the dirty recruiting going on at Auburn. The other SEC coaches respect Nick Saban and you cannot say that concerning Auburn. If you just looked at who the SEC coaches voted as coach of the year last season you would realize this. Study Trooper Taylor's history and you will see the trail or you can keep your head in the sand.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

kimipela,
I don't post here a ton but I read a lot and I welcome you. I like to hear both sides of the story as long as it is civil and within reason. Both fan bases do have their share of delusional fans. I'll admit that I hate AU football but I DON'T hate Auburn people. When I go to AUFamily.com, I know my limits and you should know yours here. One of the posters above said "remember that you are on a Bama site". It may not always seem fair but it is the same for me when I go to an Auburn site.

agreed. I only post on AUFamily also. We have a few Bama fans who post there who have not been "banned" for active discussion. WinCrimson is one. I just want to have lively discussion without being called names, etc. It is one thing to post about football, recruiting, etc and stick to that without calling others ignorant etc. Thank you for your kind post.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I actually think it was pretty crappy for a kid to get on National TV, commit to a school, then take it back an hour later. I believe you would feel the same way. Why even do it?
Others have responded to the rest of your quote, so I'll respond to this one.

I don't think you'll get any argument over here that Cyrus shouldn't have made an announcement yesterday (regardless of whether ESPN was there or not). Just like calling off a wedding. Yes, it's embarrassing and you hate that people wasted their time in coming, but it's a lot better to postpone or call it off then (bad timing and all) if you're unsure. I hate this has happened to him. Maybe it will help some recruit in the future to prevent the same mistake.

Welcome Kim. I hope you decide to hang around and offer some informational insite to what's going on down on the plains and of course we want your opinion as well.

Two things:
1- Stop the personal attacks and trolling. I don't care what school you pull for, you will follow the TOS here on TideFans.com
2- Stop quoting the troll posts - if you wish to report it, go for it, but quoting it only causes more work for the admin and mods when we find them

Thanks, carry on...

BTW - for what it is worth, I think Cyrus is coming to Bama. Just a gut feeling. I wish him well wherever he goes. I just wish he would have held off in announcing if he was not sure.

On Cyrus, I have to think that he wouldn't call another press conference just to announce Auburn. I would think he would just fax in his letter.
One would think, but I've been wrong in everything I think about all this.

Are we sure it's his final decision? Poor kid, I am not in his family and I feel bad for him and them. It is like watching something you are not a part of but yet you are uncomfortable for the person. Maybe it was his body language yesterday.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I hope Cyrus has someone helping him with that has PR experience. I think he should simply apologize to all teams involved for the delay. Briefly explain that he made a quick decision because he was on the media clock and really was not ready to decide at all. State where he is going to play and don't take any questions.

With that, C'mon Cyrus Roll with the Tide.

That is very nice of you but it appears to others I am just a "troll"? Really confused as to whether I am welcome or not.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I think the big hoopla we as fans and the media have put around the recruiting process has caused some of this. Hopefully there will be some adjustments made so things like what happened yesterday will not happen anymore or not as often.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

If i was him, I would just fax a letter to whichever school i chose, and then just post it on facebook and be done...and skip the press conference. But I would think it makes our chances a little better...but i do hesitate to even guess at this point.
