I very strongly dislike Ohio State and Clemson. I think we have a better shot against Ohio State so I am pulling for them. Dabo has become very annoying but his sentiment was shared by Dan Mullen, Kirby Smart and Saban. All had Ohio State out of the top 4 in their final polls.

Don't try to bring logic and common sense into this. The Dabo hatred around here taints many conversations.

No you’re not but here is the thing. Ohio State is the team at a disadvantage here. Sure they’ve had less bumps and bruises but football teams actually have to play in order to refine their craft. We see this on a micro level in every game as the halftime break comes and teams come out of the locker room out of sync. It’s happened to us all year.

The other 3 teams are better off than Ohio State because they’ve got double the live game reps. It’s what would make me most nervous about the game were I a Buckeye fan.

I agree that playing less games definitely serves as a disadvantage for us, and I'm happy to see a fan of another playoff team who feels the same way. But it is what it is, and our fans shouldn't use that as an excuse if we lose to Clemson.

The one advantage of playing just 6 games is that there isn't much film on us which allows our coaches, on both sides of the ball, to do some stuff for the first time all season that Clemson didn't get to see on film. There's been a lot of talk about how the advantage we have is that we'll be "fresh" but I think this is the real advantage, and I honestly wouldn't be happy about it if I were a fan of one of the other playoff teams.

I do think more people should consider that the lack of game reps hurts us more than it helps us, but I also understand why fans of the teams that got left out aren't happy to see OSU get the #4 spot. So I feel it's only fair for me to also acknowledge the one real advantage we have because of our situation (not much game film for the other teams to study) and I'd hope the rest of our fans would be willing to acknowledge that as well.

Yeah but they were more tactful. If I’m not mistaken Dabo has them much lower than anyone else at 11. Coach Saban has them 5th. No one would say anything if Dabo had them at 5th or 6th. There is tact. Something else Dabo wouldn’t get if it slapped him in the face.

Yep - 5th is making a statement - I know that you have the talent but I do not believe that you played enough games to earn a playoff spot. That is a legit point of view.

Trust me I completely understand that. Like I said in the comment, our fans shouldn't use a lack of games as an excuse if we lose because there are certainly some benefits also.

I was just saying I think we could've benefited from a couple extra games because we never really got a rhythm going with the cancellations and games where some of our starters had to sit out. But in return for playing fewer games, we're healthy for the playoffs and that's definitely a big deal.

So I guess I was just saying it's something that goes both ways, but I definitely understand and respect your point of view as an Alabama fan especially after the Dickerson injury.

Parents/tOSU FANS TEXTING players about being #11 and undefeated in a COVID-19 season. Oh, Coach Day needs to REMIND players at halftime what Debo thinks of tOSU. MOTIVATION may not win all games, but a VERY GOOD HIGHLY Motivated Team can accomplish its Goal of making it to the CFP Final game. Go Buckeyes!
