December 30 and 31 Sunny and 57.
January 1 55 and partly cloudy

January 2nd (the day that matters)....

Kick off: 40 (east winds 15 mph will make wind chill low 30's), warming to 50 by the end of the game with wind it will feel about 40.

**Side note this is Dallas, the chance of these numbers being the actual forecast is slim to none. If you can be accurate more than 10% of the time you would be the top meteorologist in Dallas.

Yeah, it's actually been pretty mild here so far. Just wearing a light coat. I've only had to pull out my heavy wool p-coat once or twice. Of course, that could very easily change by gameday, but so far it's not bad at all.

If history is a guide,

then I'll guess temps in the 30's and light snow mixed with some ice..... Typical Dallas weather for the Cotton Bowl. Sounds wonderful!

The most accurate weather forecast I ever heard when I lived in Texas was "Periods of light during the day with gradual darkening toward nightfall."
I would not even trust that forecast in Dallas!

To show you how the forecast can change...

12/19 they said the CB weather would be 40 @ kickoff/winch chill 30's
12/20 CB weather forecast 50@kickoff warming to 65.
12/21 CB weather forecast is now low 30's @ kickoff windchill in the low 20's with a stiff North breeze.

I am sure over the next 11 days we will see 75 and Sunny down to 15 with a massive ice storm.

Didn't George Carlin give that forecast? :D

My brother lives in Roanoke (Dallas burb)..

and I keep up with news and weather in that region, also relatives in Ok. The weather out there can be very fickle. My Dad told me once he had  seen chickens actually freeze on the roost, ha ha, can you believe that? Oh well, just expect anything as far as weather, after all it's TEXAS. RTR!
