I just saw this tweet from DeMarcus..Sorry Gator fans..He will be an EE at Bama..Can't wait to see him in Crimson..

"I am NOT applying for early enrollment at UF. Contrary to what is being reported; I will be flying to AL following the UA game to enroll"..

Under a seperate thread I was where he tweeted today "Sweet Home Alabama Roll Tide" so I am feeling very cofident Demarcus will be enrolled shortly.

DeMarcus let it be known he will be enrolling at Bama after the NC Game..He sounds pretty clear to me..As clear as you can get with any recruit..What more can he say to ease our minds????..

I saw your post. My intention was to point out the fact that recruiting is never a sure thing until the player faxes his LOI (Cyrus announces Auburn but signs Bama), enrolls in classes (numerous academic casualties), and is cleared by the NCAA (Alfy Hill).

I understood your post and totally agree. Was giving a current update that I saw but know anything can happen.

The unpredictability of it all is a given, but thanks for the primer. Florida folks still claiming that Walker sought and received early enrollment forms for UF. And I was wondering if those of us with direct knowledge of the situation might add some insight. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Sounds like wishful thinking on the Florida Folks part..I would listen to the recruit himself..He's clear as can be as to his intentions..

After reading his twitter feed, I'm not worried. He's been re-tweeting all the Alabama posts, with this as one of the replies:

We said the same about Reuben Foster. My point is as I said earlier: with recruiting, we can never say a guy is a sure thing until he gets to practice (and that's not always the final say).

what worries me is the HS Coach influence. Thought if funny (odd funny) that during a sports talk radio interview several months ago...the HS Coach when asked was "I try to stay out of the decision, but if asked I would definitely tell a player of mine to take a look at UF. It's a great program, it's close, but I try to stay out of those decisions" later he went on again, "If a kid is undecided, I would have him visit UF....it's close to home, great program, has national exposure..."
Had the feeling, listening to the interview, that he really wanted DeMarcus as UF, but was trying to hedge it on air.
I really hope he does come to Tuscaloosa, good friend used to live a couple of doors down from DeMarcus..said he was constantly doing sprints up/down the street to get faster, a yes sir/no sir kid that is very humble

This is not that uncommon. There are HS coaches throughout Alabama that "push" players toward Bama or the Barn. That being said Demarcus will end up at BAMA.
