2017 Prospect: DE Jarez Parks Update

Jarez is trending toward Bana with several CB's in the past 48 hours. He is on his OV this weekend and hope to get his commitment soon. He is the #48 overall player and #3 WDE (we are recruiting him to play Jack).

I've seen video of this kid. Relentless pass rusher and exactly what Bama needs.

I would feel pretty good about DE if we could add him and Ray. Still hope we land a big time DT to go with them

Yep, except for maybe a big time safety, a couple of quality D linemen is all we really lack in this class. Is that pretty much the consensus ?

My opinion doesn't count for much, but this is how I see it. There are several guys I would still love to land like Ruggs, Browning, Wade, and Smith, but if we were done today this would still be a stellar class. D line is the only area that we are missing at this moment. But, I think we will end up doing pretty well there. Adding Buggs for immediate depth next year would be nice, and finding one more tackle like Solomon would be a solid D line class. Until signing day is over I'll keep hoping for guys like Marvin Wilson or Shelvin, but I doubt they will happen

Excellent news! He reminds me of Ryan Anderson out of high school. identical measurements. Looking back at that 2012 class, man there was a lot of NFL talent there.

I have not seen a whole lot mentioned lately about Parks. It seemed we were in good shape for a while but recent cb's show their picks as foggy and the Roll Bama Roll guys picked Florida. They stated they did not think we had room which sounds crazy as bad as the need is for DL.

I think Jarez is a take. TIFWIW, but the Andrew Bone update I received said FLA has slowed their recruitment of him and it is between Bama and FSU. He said most don't know what he will do and he may wait until after NSD.

That's strange. Everything I've seen thus far suggests Bama.

His coach spoke to BOL last week after Saban visited him at school and talked about how Jarez and Saban have a great relationship.

Bama is recruiting him as a jack linebacker, not a DL.
