How about when the Citadel ran for almost 300 on us in 2018...Something to make you all think differently about last week's game. Compare the Ga. Southern game from 2011 with last week's and you will see that the greatest defense of Coach Saban's tenure got lit up. If that game would have had a pick 6 and two #2's on the field at the same time which caused a 14 point swing, that game would have probably had the same outcome. We won 45-21 that night. This screenshot does not appear to be the entire game because the time of possession doesn't match up but it gives you an idea of the game.

Talking to some about this. Teams with potential high draft picks on the D line do not like playing teams that cut block, as option teams are apt to do. Defenders spend time trying to throw the blocker down in front of you which leads to you being more upright. This leads to more "catching" as the Film Guy talks about or more "playing on your heels" as CKW talks about.
I remember in that Citadel game that we played a bunch of second stringers to begin the second half and all of the sudden we were much more successful...
