I would be just as excited as Derrick is, and would be posting pics of it as well, showing off my awesome new ride..I agree with other those that says, it's best to stay off the social media, flaunting it like this, and just baiting the aubies into saying it was obviously bought by a charger..But..I just thought to myself, screw the aubies, and their cheating allegations, cause I have no doubts his parents bought their son a car, like just about every parents with kids does, let Derrick enjoy his awesome new ride, and show it off all you want son..ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!..

It would be one thing if the houses and vehicles in the background where obviously ghetto, but that appears (from what little I can see) to be a nice neighborhood. Some folks need to get a life. I have high school students who come from families that aren't rolling in the dough who drive some pretty nice used vehicles. Have these idiots not been in a high school OR college parking lot before?

The legend of the REC remains strong in the skeptical Barner mind. They really do believe we buy our recruits cars, get their parents jobs, change their grades, shoot them up with steroids....etc.....and yet through the NCAA controlling REC we continue to get away with it.

It takes a while for these kids to realize they aren't "normal people" any more and they can't toss details of their life out on the internet without causing a stink. Unfortunately AJ never learned this apparently. I do know the athletic program has an auto vetting procedure for any car they use, hopefully this was documented and all the twitter stuff is just the typical offseason noise.
That's the thing that makes me upset. That is almost literally the same car Austin Shepard drives (just a different color) and has been driving for a while now. Not an eye batted. So why is it an issue because Henry drives it?

Here's a tip to people who don't interact with black people outside of what you see on TV and what you decide you want to believe based on BS stats thrown together to perpetuate negative stereotypes. There are hundreds of thousands of us who get up and go to work everyday, and spend/save our money wisely and invest in our children. Might be time to do away with negative stereotypes

I agree 100% with ya Mack..I dated a girl that in her neighborhood, the majority of her neighbors were black, and they were absolutely the nicest folks I've ever met..Her next door neighbor was an elderly Black Lady, and every-time I went by my girlfriends house, the elderly Black Lady would invite me over to eat dinner with her, oh man that was the best food I've ever eaten, and to this day, I still go by to visit with her checking on her..She's become like a 2nd Mom to me..The houses may not have been the nicest around, but, there were nicer cars in that neighborhood..As any other neighborhood that you will visit..Yeah black folks do invest their money wisely & invest their money in giving their kids nice cars..I've seen it with my own eyes..You're 100% correct Mack..

Amen! I work with African American ministers every week and the stereo-types need to die. Now! I have AA friends who could buy and sell me several times over...including one who has offices world-wide. It is the 21st century...build a bridge...

We all know black people can't afford nice cars:rolleye2:

Out of a 105 man roster, auBARN fans must think only 5 or 10 of their parents can afford a nice car in this day and age. If I was Henry I'd be more offended than Magic Johnson after sitting in a drunk tank with Donald Sterling for a day. What makes these idiots think nobody can afford nice suits and/or nice cars/trucks???? I'm generally not one to get started on race but people on twitter, all they see is a black kid with a nice car that plays football. Since he is black he must be poor? That is as racist as Sterling's comments IMO.

wmack you are absolutely correct. My wife is black and made real good money at her job. We bought our grandkids cars and know plenty of other black people that did the same. whoever thinks black people cannot afford anything need to go back to the 19h century.

Let's be fair here, if it were Nick Marshall from Auburn or an Jameis Winston, we'd all be saying the same things. I don't doubt that in this case Henry got the car legitimately, but even the most rabid Bama fan has to admit that it still looks suspicious. Hopefully it was a parent or relative who bought it for him legitimately, it's just rare to see most people to be able to buy that kind of car for their 18 yo kid.
