Putting Furhman on the stand and asking OJ to put the glove on were bigger issues than trusting the police.OJ walked because the jurors did not trust the police - because they had proven to be untrustworthy.
If you say so, but you are not a black person in LA at that time, and they say differently.Putting Furhman on the stand and asking OJ to put the glove on were bigger issues than trusting the police.
Mark Fuhrman showed up called in on the middle of the night doesn’t constitute “putting him on the case.” Given the problems Petrocelli had with jury selection in the civil trial, Fuhrman was a gift from the heavens to the defense, but the whole thing never fooled me save for the fact he was more vilified for words he said than the Brentwood butcher was.Putting a racist cop on the case, and Ito’s very liberal rulings on evidence and what is admissible had a lot to do with it. But then again Marcia Clark and Darden were both pretty idiotic and were going up against far better lawyers assembled by Shapiro
I still think Shapiro was out of Clark and Darden’s class. Kardashian was just happy to be there. Cochran was just a mouth. I think the underrated one was Scheck. He basically destroyed much of the credibility of the expert witnesses.I concur on Ito. God what a moron. And the defense sans F Lee Bailey wasn’t even all that smart. The fact Clark and Darden didn’t treat the conspiracy theory with the proper contempt and demolish it was terrible. But that’s another thread and so damn long ago now; Ron Goldman has been dead longer than he was alive.
You do realize that police still hold an overwhelming advantage in court even in minority communities. If you say so, but you are not a black person in LA at that time, and they say differently.
This was LA after decades of black deaths at the hands of police, and after the police walked in the Rodney King beating trial. This was the BLM movement's start. You do realize that police still hold an overwhelming advantage in court even in minority communities.
You can say that all you want, but Ferguson was far rank with the issue on race, and yet a grand jury of mostly African Americans didn’t rule in favor of Michael Brown. In a community that is far more African American than LA.This was LA after decades of black deaths at the hands of police, and after the police walked in the Rodney King beating trial. You simply do not understand the dynamics at play in LA at the time. You are straight wrong. You can say that all you want, but Ferguson was far rank with the issue on race, and yet a grand jury of mostly African Americans didn’t rule in favor of Michael Brown. In a community that is far more African American than LA.
I understand the Watts riots and the Rodney King riots, just like I understand that juries despite their composition juries overwhelmingly favor the police and prosecution. Something that you are clearly ignoring because it doesnt fit the narrative you want. You dont get a full acquittal based on 12 people's prejudice against the police. If you did then the DA is a DA for allowing the defense to control voir direYou simply do not understand the dynamics at play in LA at the time. You are straight wrong.

If true, still leaves 6 . . .Saw last night across the ESPN scrolling marquee that Watson's lawyer has now said he is confident that they can show that 16 of the 22 of Watson's accusers either completely fabricated their claim or lied about actual events.

Yeah but if 16 are thrown out then it really makes Buzzbe look like an opportunist. Buzzbe has the court of public opinion now, but he could lose it faster than he gained it. It would probably kill the credibility of those 6 if that many are thrown out. It’s why I said from the start go with your best 3-4 and then pile on after you make serious progress ,and not overload the courts by the filing 22 lawsuits in a week from one lawyer. If there are any more accusers then it would be smart for them to avoid Buzzbe like the plague and get a different lawyer. If true, still leaves 6 . . .
I think the strategy of Watson's lawyer is if they can win the "reasonable doubt" component or outright prove that approximately 70% of the plaintiffs' claims are untrue, then the 6 that remain will have a harder legal hill to climb. But I'm not a lawyer so take the above for what it's worth. LOL!If true, still leaves 6 . . .
Well this will never go to trial in either civil or criminal court. So this most likely won’t be proven either way.We will never know the truth unless there is a criminal trial, but I am willing to believe that Watson is scum until it is proven otherwise.
That's my point - at some point you just have to make a call, and my call is slimeball.Well this will never go to trial in either civil or criminal court. So this most likely won’t be proven either way.
Maybe. But I believe innocent until proven guilty, but the court of public opinion is the opposite. That's my point - at some point you just have to make a call, and my call is slimeball.
You have believed all along that some if not all of these girls were lying, so you too are judging the people involved - you are just judging a different set of people.Maybe. But I believe innocent until proven guilty,
