Wish I went to Tuscaloosa for college
It's crazy back here in Missouri, with the Tigers on the prowl. Loving every minute of it, even though they are my second favorite team. Hope you guys want to see Missouri in the BCS Championship game, because they are a really fun team to watch. Yes I know it is a Big 12 team, but this would be a great story headline, for Mizzou to regain their glory that they haven't had in like
30+ years.

Mizzou-RAH!!

The ONLY Tigers I can root for, period.

Pulled the 20" TV into the media room so I could keep track of the MU-KU game at the same time as the Iron Bowl. Of course, the REAL game stayed on the big screen until the Auburn fourth down play.

I hope they smack the Sooners in San Antonio but I think it's a long shot. The MU-WV matchup would be electric - would be the highest scoring BCS championship game ever....

I'll be cheering for Missouri. I sure don't want to see West Virginia or Ohio State win the national championship.

I was pulling for Kansas, since they are the real cinderella team this year. But since Mizzou beat them, I guess I will pull for the tigers.

Kansas' FB success this season has come as a great surprise to the KU grads around here, and there are many in Huntsville, including my next-door neighbor. A week or so ago, I was leaving my driveway and my neighbor was standing out by the street. As I drove by, I called out "KU is undefeated and the world is coming to an end.." He yelled back "And it's not in basketball.." :D

I believe it. I grew up on the Kansas/Oklahoma border and I can tell you with certainty that Kansas is roundball country first and foremost. Phog Allen Field House is to them what Bryant Denny Stadium is to us.

I'm curious, Earle, why are there so many KU grads in Huntsville? the aero-space industry perhaps?

Pretty much. Did you grow up down in the flint hills?

No, I grew up in what the locals out there call "green country"--The predominantly flat, green pasture areas that make up the region where Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas all come together. Where I lived, you could literally drive in a circle with about the diameter of 50 miles and drive through all four states.

Ah, yes. I have a long-time good friend who grew up just on the MO side of the border and went to the MO School of Mines. You're not that far south of Pittsburg... :D

Pittsburg was about a 45 min drive from where i lived. I've been to the Pitt State campus many, many times..Chuck Broyles, their long time coach, coached me in high school in Oklahoma...

I would love to see Mizzou in the championship game. It has been a great season for them and their fans. I just don't want the Buckle-eyes in the game. I do not want any team from a conference that is afraid to have a conference championship game to play in the BCS championship game.
I think that Mizzou and WFU would be an exciting game. Lots of fireworks.
